The purpose of this report is to help the student community understand the culture and life of IITian. Also to discuss major issues and things to be given care or attention at IIT. This will help the IIT system to understand the problem and thinking of students. Also will give students a brief idea about IIT and will help them to take their decision well.
We adopted a proper methodology for this project, we prepare the survey, questionnaire discussing with professor. After that we selected the target students to have the variety and all kinds of possibility. We interviewed people personally about what they feel and ask them question.
History of the Indian Institutes of Technology
The Indian Institutes of Technology refers to the seven IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee. IITs are Institutions of national importance, established by an Act of Parliament. These institutes were set up after independence by the government of India for providing engineering and technological education of internationally recognized excellence.
Background of IITs
The existence of the Indian Institutes of Technology is due to the vision of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who proposed establishing these institutions to provide trained technical personnel of international class to the nation who would act as leaders in technology for the newly born independent India. Nehru, being an enthusiast and patron of science, was clear that science and technology had a prominent role to play in modernising India and meeting the needs of its growing population. He envisioned that the IIT system would over time "provide scientists and technologists of the highest calibre who would engage in research, design and development to help building the nation towards self-reliance in her technological needs."
Through the IITs, India's first Prime Minister had hoped to create a highly educated technological force that would provide vital inputs for the massive dams, power plants and industrial ventures he wanted to build. It would help ensure that the country was self-reliant in the realm of science and technology.
Today the IITs have a reputation of being among the very best engineering institutions in the world. The IIT has become a globally recognised brand and the institutes are globally recognised as one of the centres of academic excellence, and are reputed for
• the outstanding calibre of the students graduating from them
• the dynamic and relevant academic programmes
• contribution to national developmental projects through its research activities
This research focused mainly on international students from Asian countries such as China, South Korea, Japan and India. Some students from the USA were also incorporated in this research...
to play a vital role in your future - i.e.you had to be well educated
Gandhi was then visibly looking for a structural uprooting of the British / Colonial system and aimed to replace it with one more contributory to the state and, hence, less extractory in nature. This for him was the fundamental change in the system that was required for a successful transformation from a colonized to an independent state.

The beginning of this article is all about Indian politics and the newly developed government after India's independence. The
Jawaharlal worked hard to industrialize India. Jawaharlal supported the usage of hydroelectric power, he invested funds in infrastructure, and he requested the research and aid of scientists to help use natural resources more effectively and widely. “Industrialization increased in India by 7% per year from 1951-1965” ("Jawaharlal Nehru"). Industrialization caused people to move out of the rural areas and into the growing cities. This attracted people to move into India and into the city. As a result, the population grew by 2.3% annually ("Jawaharlal Nehru"). The population and industrialization increase caused agriculture and food production to lag behind. During the years 1972 and 1973, crops failed, deepening the problem. To gain loans from the International Monetary Fund, Indira shifted to more conservative economic policies that angered many of her partisans. Again, she did this without consent of the congress-N party (“Jawaharlal
In this article we will see how Dr.Rajendra Prasad played a pivotal role in independence movement. Though his extra-ordinary role in independence, he his remembered as the first president of India rather than a freedom fighter. This is because of his charismatic personality and the elegant way in which he carried the peace message of India to foreign country in post independence era. Amidst all this, we will see how unknowingly in the process of achieving the bigger goal of independence resulted in weakening of social fabric of Hindus and Muslim. Most importantly we would also investigate how the “bad evil”,that polluted the society in name of Indian culture, made the process of independence more complex and difficult. We would
For my research I will be talking about the cultural aspects of India, as brief over few of India, it’s economic growth has increased in the past 2 decades, well behind China. As a stand point, according to a survey, there are 1.75,000 billionaires in the United States and only 14,000 billionaires in India. Education system in India, primary education refers to the education of children between the ages 6-11 years old (grades 1-5). India spends only 3.3 percent of its GDP on education compared to an average 5.8 percent in developed countries. The number of Indian students overseas to study rose a stunning 256 percent from 53,266 to 189,629 in just 9 years (2000-2009). The education system in India seems to increase over the course of the years
Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Having a strong zeal towards Information System and Computer Programming, I have also learned different languages like C, C++, SQL and PL/SQL.
...iences in life could help people in their lives and in their job as well. It is hard to leave one’s country and family to study, but students will get the results after graduation.
Study/education improves the development of a society hence the need for educated individuals to occupy significant position in order to improve such society.
Nehru envisioned a India which would rise up against all the odds and rise up to be a superpower
For building nation, the educated citizens play an important role. Indians are known worldwide for their indigenous and cost effective ways of developing ideas and transforming them into reality. A great example of this would be India’s first Mangalyaan (a satellite) costing just 11% of the NASA’s own Mars mission which is a great achievement in itself. This achievement has not only made India famous but also made it to stand on par with other well developed nation. This has not only build up confidence of other countries in India but also acted as booster to its
