IB/ALP Program Application

I believe that I have numerous skills that have allowed me to excel in school but I have my flaws, as does everyone. I have been told many times, “It’s not how smart you are, but how you’re smart.” I find this to be quite true, but I don’t believe it to mean that you cannot learn to become smarter in different areas. I have hopes that the IB/ALP program will do many things to help me further succeed beyond what I could expect, by helping me achieve my goals, work towards ameliorating in my weaknesses, heighten my potential, and open new possibilities for me that I couldn’t believe possible. The IB/ALP Program is a good fit for me as I am a thinker and as I am open-minded as per how they are defined. Though, as an area for improvement, I believe that I must work towards becoming a risk-taker to allow myself to increase my calibre.
I am very interested in different languages and cultures. I find it very interesting how many different people across the world have developed a language of their own and how different some languages truly can be. I am fascinating by how different sentence structures were created and thereby, also the etymology of words in not only English, but in various languages. It was when my parents had enrolled me in the French Immersion Program that this enthusiasm for languages had commenced. As a result of my fondness of languages, I have been able to learn English, French, Hindi, and Punjabi. Though, I have also been studying Japanese since the age of 9 and I have also started to learn Spanish since last summer. It was this passion and the support from my encouraging teachers that had allowed me to excel in the French Immersion Program.

... IB/ALP Program with French Immersion. I am working towards this goal because I find that by enrolling into the IB/ALP Program with French Immersion, I’m challenging my potential. As one of my favourite inspirational quotes say, “A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
It is for all of these reasons that I feel that I would be a good candidate and that I will succeed in the IB/ALP Program with French Immersion. My strengths in being open-minded and being a thinker will help me to succeed in such a program and the program will also help me to become even stronger in these areas. I also believe that the IB/ALP Program with French Immersion will help me turn my weakness as a risk-taker into one of my strengths. I have no doubt that this program will keep up with my interests in languages as per the French Immersion, meanwhile challenging my abilities and my potential.
