There are very few things in life that are definitive, but I considered a legal profession to be ideal for me. Unfortunately, I had to restructure my objective and locate an occupation that would be gratifying to me for the next 40 years. After pondering, I determined that my strengths were the following: using statistics to assist growth, working efficiently to meet deadlines/goals, solving issues based on logic, maintaining a strong organizational trait to uphold standards, participating in team assignments, and conquering challenging tasks. Although none of my strengths were surprising, I discovered that I underestimated the importance of being in a position that would be challenging, yet, allow me to be innovative while retaining a role that would be vital to a company. After years of contemplating, I chose to seek a master degree in business administration. Initially, I planned to attend Bethel University, and then continue at Union University, but my plans were disrupted due to an unexpected personal matter. Consequently, I couldn’t start at Union, but I did complete 2 courses at Bethel. Once I was able to continue, Union’s schedule conflicted with mine, so, naturally, I decided to complete my degree at Bethel because I was familiar with the school’s credentials and enjoyed the flexibility of the program. Although I earned an “A” in Managerial Accounting and Economics at Bethel University, there are other reasons that qualify me as a great candidate for the MBA program.
One reason is my inherent business aptitude, which was realized when I began working as a leasing agent for Makowsky Ringel Greenberg. I utilized certain business characteristics in this profession such as strategy, customer interaction, market management, a...

As a child growing up I was taught that being a business man was substantial in becoming a man. My father always made it his responsibility to engineer the foundation of business. His main goal for his son was to become an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, I became interested in a different field. With the same intentions of staying in business, business analyst grew on me unexpectedly. My father being the disciplinarian kept me business orientated but sports had an effect as well. Life began to hit me once I was leaving High School. As a high school student, I chose to take business classes but my attention was more so in sports. As a basketball player for 1-2 years and taking business classes, I became distracted in finding my career until I took this business class. The business class involved analyzing a business organization to examine its weakness and
Over this course of this semester, I have learned a tremendous amount of information about myself from the self-exploration series. The results of my PGI (Personal Globe Inventory) presented me with a couple of different career paths to explore. The first type of career that was brought up to my attention was an enterprising career. There were a number of enterprising careers, but the one that interested me the most was business management. I decided to choose the business management because I am majoring in Sustainability and my focus is in Economics. I think business management would be an excellent fit for myself because I have actually done some research prior to this class about management. I would like to someday own an ice rink, and I think that becoming a manager would be a great stepping-stone towards reaching my goal. The requirements for becoming a business manager vary from university to university, but the overall direction of the major revo...

Real estate knowledge is powerful and as the world transitions from nonrenewable energy to more renewable resources, I truly believe that focusing my path and allowing myself the ability to improve on my strategy will grant me the intelligence to become a better resource to
First off, I would like to say that my overall experience of attending Bethel University has been fantastic. Being a student at Bethel University has been challenging and rewarding. I think the aspect I enjoyed about Bethel the most is the spiritual grounding of the school. The Bethel University promote religion as well as offer a Theologian degree. Without a stable religious background, people lose focus on the things in life that matter the most. Bethel University provides the civilian and spiritual learning that students need to help them to become well round in both walks of life. I love the fact that the school chaplain sends out encouraging spirit messages to the students each day. The Bethel University College cares about your spiritual
Eat fresh. With 2 mere words I have made you think of getting a 5 dollar footlong from America’s largest restaurant chain due only to great marketing. Business is conglomerations of numbers, tedious analysis, and risky result; but in this boring cloud of excel spreadsheets and pie charts is an oasis where creativity can be released: Marketing. Maintaining the image of a brand and expanding it further is the marketing department’s job and they keep the companies fresh and alive. There are many socioeconomic factors that influence students as they are choosing their college majors. Since some degrees can determine the type of career the students will have for the rest of their lives, there is a lot of pressure to choose a major they will be passionate about. However, not every student has a single interest they are truly passionate about. Luckily, there are other degrees that emphasize providing students with the tools they would need to create their own place in the business world. Like many other liberal arts degrees, a Bachelor’s Degree in English focuses on developing a solid base of critical thinking on which a student may build their career or decide to further their education. Although there are many other degrees that support my

Often times, I can’t help but wonder what my life would be like if I haven’t been exposed to the world of business; a wonderful career that changed my life completely. I have taken interest in business career because I love calculating numbers and interacting with people; But most importantly, my fascination in business came from my grandfather. He taught me many valuable tips on how to be a successful person, and most certainly how to run a business. He was not only a successful businessman, but also a respected individual. One of the businesses that he owned was a company called “Wu Long Tea Factory”. The main thing that they produce is tea of course, but they also have products such as cakes, candies, and all kinds of stuff. By being the production manager’s assistant of this company, I was able to experience everything that was going on in the factory. Even though that was the background I grew up in, my biggest fascination wasn’t in being a manager in a factory; it was the finance part that got me all excited. Often times I can even see myself sitting in my office and work on clients’ financial profiles and statements. I also took extra math classes and participated in many of the competitions in order to prepare myself to succeed in this particular field. Other things that I also did to get me well prepared are joining school activities, applying internships, and having jobs. I believe that all my hard work will pay off, when I see myself as a successful businessman.
In my degree plan, I realize that I will have to complete my general education classes including English, math, science, history, and the humanities. These classes have the ability to prepare me for the rigorous work that I will face within my core business classes. Program requirements vary based on each institution’s own specific curriculum. However common core courses in business administration programs are mostly centered on financial accounting, business law, economics, finance, organizational behavior, business management, marketing, human resource management and operations management . Through research of my career path, I realize that a Masters in Business Administration would be even more useful because it has the potential to attract potential investors. Median yearly wages for people with Business Management degrees range from $46,00-$115,000 . The duties of owning a fashion boutique include managing the daily operations of the store, all finances, and maintain the vision of the store
