I Want to Pursue Studies so I Can Become a Politician

Every decision made by a key politician or governing body will inevitably affect peoples’ lives, positively or otherwise. I first had an inkling of this concept when my country was struck with the SARS outbreak of 2003. The manner in which my Government handled the various aspects of the crisis was so meticulous that it fascinated me greatly. Its intricate complexity and relevance to my everyday life had further intrigued my younger self. I have since aspired to be able to influence and aid my nation in the way that my Government did.

This interest evolved into a passion as I received the opportunity to be a runner in a school-based Model United Nations (MUN) conference. I was then recognised for my dedication, patience and diligence in these conferences by my school. This then allowed me to represent my school as the Head Delegate for two other Model United Nations conferences following the initial one that I had attended.
