Writing is one of my favorite things to do in my life. I love it when my awesome teacher gives us a writing assignment. Also, that time I feel so happy because there are thousands of ways to write essays but whatever teacher give us a different way to write essays. In my class, we write differently than another class. First thing we do in class is discussing about other people who wrote essay before with the same topic. Our teacher read aloud in class before, we read by ourself, and annotate every paragraph and write the main idea about the paragraph. Next, we do pre-writing like brainstorming, clustering, focused free-write, summary of TedTalk, vocabulary Log, notes paraphrases and connection for two of the articles also clarify and evaluate …show more content…
Throughout this essay, I wrote about cell phones should be allowed in school because they increase the safety, build on the learning process and school management. There are so many benefits to having this technology in school. The school day will become more enjoyable if we could incorporate cell phones into the lessons. We need to save ourselves from the old teaching ways and embrace the new technology that is out there and given to us. It is time to move forward instead of backward. So, let us all start it with one step forward first, which is by allowing cell phones in …show more content…
As the final essay comes, I find myself where is my weakness, and strength but also what I have learned. The most important thing I have learned so far is how to write a better essay. Somehow after all the hours of writing, and putting effort into the papers that I wrote this semester I will become a better writer. I did this because I concentrated on two very important areas with the attitude of if I could just become better in those. I would become a better writer to help from an awesome teacher and a friend who help me, I will become a better writer by improving my skills in the areas of grammar, verbs, and run-on
Writing essays was never my forte, it just never came easy to me like it would to others. Since other subjects came easy to me and I had to focus more than others on writing, I had a negative attitude toward the process as a whole. During this summer semester, I was able to grow as a writer, and gain a more positive attitude toward how I write and a better feel for writing in college. Writing a paper is a process in which there are many different stages. In high school I would never write outlines or any sort of pre planning work. Other struggles I encountered in my writing were my theses, and framing quotes.
For some schools, students take French classes or Spanish classes by using cellphones to call classmates and to speak with them in that language. Some schools do not allow phones during school for they have either banned or have limited the use of cellphone.
I remember a classmate when I was in high school because he never talked to anybody. He spent most of his time on his cell phone or using his tablet, and he did not do well in school. He was different than my other classmates and I believe that he never felt comfortable in the classroom. Everybody knows that cell phones have changed peoples’ life dramatically. Cell phones are one of the most revolutionary advances in the last decades because they make things simpler and easier but cell phones have a strong impact on teenagers. Teenagers are in one of the most important phase in their lives because they are exploring the world and developing their capacities. I believe that cell phones have more negative than positives effects on teenagers for many reasons.
Schools should allow students in class, to use their cell phones for online educational resources.Phones can be a very useful tool for students.73% of girls and 60% of boys specifically text about school work to help other students succeed and help them understand the
It is well known that smartphones improve everyone’s life. They not only give us support every second but also prevent us from being bored to death. Yet some neglect these benefits and argue that smartphones can ruin our social life, and that we should decrease our smartphone usage. In some rare occasions what they say can happen to sound convincing. However, we strongly recommend that you let it go through one ear and out the other ear. You should even try to be benevolent and help the minority of the population advance. Here are some reasons why:
Furthermore, there are many upsides that technology brings upon students by presenting new ways of learning where technology is being used in the classroom. Within the article “Cell phones in schools pros and cons” presented by Rujuta Borkar, the advantages of having a cellular phone device in school are through emergency contact, and having a cell phone for security purposes.
Although cell phones are often seen as distractions for students, they can prove to be a great learning tool. The use of cell phones in school allows students to communicate with parents, teachers can connect and communicate with students, and students can access an infinite number of educational apps.
Have you ever heard of the gruesome Columbine High School massacre? This incident occurred on April 20th 1999 and involved two students embarking on a shooting rampage, killing twelve students, a teacher and wounding twenty three others. Unfortunately during this incident, the school's most easily accessible phone was on the other side of the school in the library. Perhaps some of these lives could have been saved if the students in this class had cell phones that they could've used to contact the authorities more quickly. The issue we are addressing today is the use of cellular devices in educational facilities. I believe that cell phone use is of extreme convenience, and has academically beneficial aspects, among it's so called "faults".
Today’s cell phone is the front line technology at our fingertips. Keeping this in mind the use of cell phones have become an affair when it comes to allowing teens to use them in educational environments, such as schools. One part of society supports the use of cell phones while the other part of society disapproves the use of cell phones. I personally believe that cell phones should not only be allowed in school, but cell phones should be mandatory just like a textbook. Cell phones do not only allow students to stay united with friends and family, but cell phones are also a magnificent learning system, and they boost the liable use of technology.
Cell phones can be used as a useful tool in the classroom as there are advantages to using cell phones opposed to not using cell phones. “Cell phones also do offer advantages, the camera phone can have a number of educational benefits. The camera
Cell phones should be permitted in schools, because they can be very beneficial and practical in schools. Cell phones can be a life-saver in the case of an emergency. In New York, a violent incident has taken place. Fortunately, timely communication from a student using a cell phone saved a man who desperately needed medical attention (“Cell Phones in the Classroom”). Another student has assisted the police in arresting the suspect by giving timely updates of the criminal scene using a cell phone during the school lockdown.
Electronics are a huge part of our society. “Out of the world’s estimated 7 billion people, 6 billion have access to mobile phones” (Wang). Over thousands of these cell phones are owned by students K-12. A major debate topic is should cell phones be allowed in schools? “Twenty-four percent of schools have banned mobile devices altogether and sixty-two percent allow them on school grounds, but not in the classroom” (Raths).
Many schools are now making new rules or guidelines to improve the educational impact that school has on students. One of these new rules or guidelines is a ban on cell phones during school hours. This new guideline upsets many students that use cell phones because they feel that it takes away their freedom. It is a privilege, not a right, that those students even have cell phones, and they are abusing their privilege tremendously. This new guideline is a superior guideline to follow, and in the long run, students will realize how this ban affected their learning experience. Cell phones should be ultimately banned for a number of reasons. Cell phones are a distraction to other students, it is a major distraction to the student with the cell phone, and there are phones in the school that students can use whenever they need.
Ever since incidents such as 9/11 and Columbine, high schools have started implementing new rules regarding cellphones. Cellphones attract the attention of building managers, teachers, parents, and students. Although teachers see them as a distraction and a way to cheat, they can be quite helpful to students. School districts should permit students to use cellular devices in school for purposes of improving their education and providing themselves with a sense of security. By permitting the use of cellphones in school, students can increase their knowledge and complete school work by using applications and other features on their smartphones.
There is no doubt that almost all people in developed country using mobile phones, from teen until old peoples. They are using mobile phones for business communication, keeping contact with family and friends, and even just followed the trends. This essay will focus on using mobile phones in elementary and high schools. There are many disadvantages of using mobile phones in school such as, students use mobile phones for cheating, as well as that can destroy concentration while study in classroom. It also be shown that other electronic devices to facilitate student while study at schools. However, this essay will argue that mobile phones should be banned in schools.
