Christians believe Jesus Christ was sent to Earth to fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament. Christians believe Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose again three days later. Jesus Christ ascended into heaven after the third day, and now sits at the right hand of God, the father, in Heaven. As Christians, we wait for the day Jesus Christ will return to judge both the living and the dead. But, before the judgment day comes, we are called to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Bible). The previous verse mentioned means, as Christians we are to spread the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, to everyone and give them the option to accept the Christian belief and have eternal life in Heaven when Jesus Christ returns.
I was born into the Christian faith, although I did not have a church to call home until I was four years old. My mom was raised in the Catholic Church, my dad was influenced by the Baptist Church, and I was raised in the Lutheran Church; growing up, I have gotten to experience these three different denominations of Christianity. Although I was born into the Christian faith, I stayed by my own choice. I am proud to call myself a Christian!
Every denomination of Christianity is unique in some way. Each denomination holds the Bible as their sacred text, believes Jesus Christ is the son of God and died for our sins, and believes in the Triune God (the father, son, and Holy Spirit). The differences between the denominations of Christianity range from the interpretation of the Bible to the holy sacraments of baptism and communion. I have been influenced by three denominations of Christianity; these denominations are the Catholic Church, the Baptist Church, and the Lutheran Church.

Christians answer the question of what happens to us when this life is over by their beliefs in heaven and hell. If a true believer has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior and led their life by the Bible and the laws of God, they will go to heaven once their earthly body dies. If a person leads a life of sin and never seeks redemption, living their life against God and His kingdom, they will burn in the fire and brimstone of hell.
First of all, Christianity believes Jesus is their Messiah. Mary, the virgin, gave the birth of Jesus. “When his mother Mary had been engaged to Joseph, but before they lived together, she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 1: 18). Again I was raised neutrally with religion. As a family we didn't attend church. My grandparents are all Jehovah's Witness's, although both my father and mother ended up being disfellowshipped from the congregation. Since not having any religious influence being taught to me, I was open to explore different religions for myself. I learned about several different religions. I know now that I am a Spiritualist, rather than Christian.
After reading through this book, I feel that my thoughts on what Christian discipleship should be have been reinforced and somehow cleared up. Discipleship is central to Christian faith and practice because it is how the Christian message is shared with the world. Christian discipleship is not just about spreading the Word of God; it is also showing the world what being a Christian really is. Discipleship-focused faith should demonstrate how God’s Word is for everyone and knows no boundaries whether they are race, language, country, size, gender, etc. Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world, therefore, His sacrifice it to be shared with the world through our actions, as always, actions speak louder than words.

As a young boy, I attended Sunday School for many years. I learned about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit once a week and was immersed in a family that was religious. We never missed a Sunday, prayed before every meal, and talked about God in our lives. I was baptized and began attending a Lutheran church up until the end of middle school. Our lives became busier, and our attendances to church became fewer and far between. In school I began learning about evolution and how humans came about. I remember that I did not understand how school could teach something different than what I learned my entire life. At first I did not know what to believe. I became skeptical about many ideas in the Christian faith. Is there one almighty God? Did he create man as told in the story of Adam and Eve? I thought these bold ideas were far-fetched. For a short while, I did not believe the teachings of the Bible or of God. I had many of the same thoughts as doubters of the Christian religion. How can the idea of one God or Heaven be real if no living person had ever witnessed it for themselves? Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people? The absence of God and the theory of evolution seemed like the reasonable explanation to me. As time went on, I continued to attend church sporadically and did a lot of thinking about my faith. The Christian religion has many key beliefs. First, Christians are monotheistic, believing in only one god. Second, they believe in the Holy Trinity, which means that their one god has three parts. The first part is God the Father (as the creator), the second is God the Son (as Jesus), and the last is God the Holy Spirit (as his presence in the world). Other Christian beliefs include "love god" and "live lives for God's purpose." Many of these beliefs are similar to those in other religions as well.
Jesus explained and described to people the Heavens. Jesus taught others how to love others along with loving yourself as well.The most important message Jesus wished to get across was to live by God’s words. He explains to everyone that these are the rules in which God wants us to live by, but don’t be mistaken, he understands we are not perfect, he understands we will make mistakes, but please, ask for his forgiveness, celebrate the festivities of Yom Kippur and Lent, show God that you truly are sorry for the potential sins you may have committed, but most of all, love one another and love the one and only God. As most people think, Christians are people who go to Church every Sunday, pray to God, and believe that Jesus is their Savior. These people are right, and what they explained is what all Christians have in common. As a Christian myself, I know that there are two types of Christians. There are strong Christians who diligently obey their rule of conduct that is written in the Bible, and who are not easily influenced by the worldly thinking. There are also weak Christians who care more about what other humans think of them than God. All Christians strive to be a strong Christian, and to do so, they need to hear the gospel (H), think and meditate on what they have heard (T), examine or read the Bible daily (E), analyze or study the Bible (A), remember Bible verses (R), and most crucially, apply the Bible verses in real life, which makes the HEART and Apply Principle.

As Christians, we hopefully know, that Christ works in our life. Christians know it is through the grace of God that they are saved and forgiven. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” instructs us on what we are being called to do by Jesus Christ. This passage allows us to understand it to be Jesus’ transfer of authority from himself to the disciples and also to us.”
The life of Jesus Christ is a very emotional yet religious topic to explain about. His birth was miraculous, the way he lived was very sin free and religious and his death changed people's lives forever. The innocence and loyalty that Jesus portrayed was still not enough for the Roman Empire. He was just too over powering for the government and other peoples lives and was considered a risky individual.
