Teachers should make suitable and well-timed provisions for their students such as pacing for singular rates of growth, helping children with communication development, assessment, and help individual students with particular learning differences or needs. Teachers should understand how learners grow and develop, by recognizing that there are different patterns of learning and development within individual students. Teachers should help students work at their own pace when leaning how to develop cognitively, linguistically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Children should do activities that are developmentally appropriate and challenging and fun learning experiences for young children this will help children get closely involved and want …show more content…
Hand washing in my personal opinion is the best way to prevent germs from spreading from one area to the next and also you prevent other children from getting sick. Hygiene and cleanliness lesson plans and activities among small children are highly important especially when teaching young children about personal development and I must repeat it is extremely important to include activities and lessons about handwashing and cleanliness especially in this day and time with all types of diseases developing in the world it vital and highly important to teach young children the importance of cleanliness and how to properly wash their hands. Children should learn at a young age how diseases are transmitted, and how to properly wash their hands to prevent the germs from spreading from A-Z. Educating our youth will promote communication, creative, intellectual, social, and personal development of all students. I have included a copy of my lesson plan with this
Always need time to communicate with the parents either formal or informal so we can build trust and be cultural sensitive. We can also provide parents with support and education with whatever the child’s needs might be. For the children we help them understand the language and reasoning skills. Math and numbers can be taught is so many ways through play that the children won’t get stressed. Nature and science when we provide them with things that are naturally in their surroundings they get a chance to investigate. Promote acceptance of diversity and do things to help all the children learn something new and interact with different activities when sharing their
It is evident throughout these research studies that the topic of hand hygiene is particularly relevant to nursing. Nursing has the most face-to-face, hands on interactions with patients. Since nurses come in contact with multiple patients numerous times a day it is crucial that nurses have competent knowledge regarding hand hygiene in order to prevent the spread of infections and diseases.
There can never be enough emphasis on its teaching in school, communities, colleges, hospitals, clinics etc. There are a lot of journal articles, books and research material available to support this easy prevention technique. Rachel Barrett and Jacqueline Randle (2008) in their journal, Hand hygiene practices: nursing students perceptions, state that “Hands of healthcare workers and patients are therefore a primary cause for the transmission of infections by both endogenous and exogenous spread” (Para. 1). This is a relevant point which must be highlighted in every study material and teaching plans by the tutors in healthcare settings. Without proper hand hygiene it not possible to decrease the ill effects of infections spread through contact. The authors further discuss that other standard precautions should be kept in mind as those are important too. For example, while doing dressing change or assessing the pressure ulcer it is crucial to wear gloves as hand washing alone would not be enough to protect from contamination. However, the main point to remember is that gloves should not be used as a substitute for hand
...ft on surfaces like the raining on the bus and insects that can bite you and infect you. Since you know you are going to be in contact with them, you have to take precautions not to get sick. The best way to do this is to eat a well-balanced diet making sure your food is cooked properly and handled properly. You should also make sure to wash your hands frequently. You should especially wash them before eating to stop microorganisms from getting on your food and then into your body. You should also thoroughly wash your hands after using the bathroom to prevent the spread of germs. Washing your hands is also important after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. You should also wash your hands before and after touching a cut or wound. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that proper hand washing is the best way to prevent the spread of infection.6
Better infection control practices and hand washing techniques utilized by the general population help to reduce the incidences of easily avoidable conditions, such as impetigo caused by staphylococcal and streptococcal infections. It may be beneficial for public health departments to recommend teachers to teach students on how to properly wash hands and clean high contact fomites.
As a teacher in early childhood development, I believe that the teacher skills and personality influence how children understand, observe and react to the classroom environment and the world around them. Even though part of teacher responsibilities are academic, daily interactions that encourage social, emotional and physical development are important. One of a quality effective early childhood educators’ characteristic is that they should have patience.
It is my strong belief that each child is entitled to a safe, secure, stimulating and caring learning environment. I always believed that each child is a unique individual with much curiosity and many academic, social and emotional needs. Children need our support in order to mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. As a teacher, one should aim to help students in fulfilling their dreams to become successful and educated individuals. We must provide them with a safe learning environment for their learning to succeed.
This article overall purpose is to inform the importance of knowledge and practice of effective hand hygiene and hand care to prevent or reduce cross-contamination from healthcare personnel to patients (HCP). As the article’s author expressed at the introduction “ Healthcare-acquired infections are a major source of illness and death in hospitalized patients, and approximately 20%-40% of these infections are a result of cross-infection via the hands of healthcare personnel” (Eve Cuny 1)
It is important for teachers to have knowledge of the cognitive development process of a child. When teachers have knowledge of the progressive stages of student development, they can be more aware of how to approach and help them achieve developmental goals.
I believe the extent of growth and knowledge each child can possess starts at the beginning with community. When a classroom has respectful, caring, and engaged students, the opportunities for learning can take place constantly. The way a teacher interacts with students models the type of language and behavior they want used in the classroom. When a teacher uses positive responses it helps children interact effectively with others. Using thoughtful and precise language when communicating opens windows for reflection and learning. For example, a student may be called on to discuss a question; children respond well to open-ended questions. This g...
...ng pathogens due to their close proximity to the home. In some cultures, adults believe that a child’s fecal matter is less hazardous than an adult’s, which results in adults handling the child’s feces more freely.7In order to dispel these myths, it is imperative to teach residents, particularly those in rural areas, about the importance of hand-washing. There are several marketing strategies that can be used to promote hand-washing, including pictorial stories, dramas, games, posters, group discussion, and radio and television campaigns.
A research by Owen-Jackson (2016) believes that each child of this world deserves to get the best possibilities of caring , securing, and motivated atmosphere to well grow and develop physically, psychology, socially, and intellectually. As an educator, I believe that a child is as a precious jewel who is a unique individual that has to receive better environment to develop personality, self-esteem, and skills to be a responsible person in the future. My desire as a teacher is to provide an adequate necessary education that is classified as the most significant factor of growth and development. According to my personal philosophy in teaching that is to believe in education to be the best source of providing the necessary fundamental tools
Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children 's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
Every classroom presents a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. My role as a teacher is to give children the tools with which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, I will teach to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful. I will present curriculum that involves the interests of the children and makes learning relevant to life. I will incorporate themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning in order to make children active learners. Finally, I will tie learning into the world community to help children become caring and active members of society.
During this semester in the course human development and learning, the class has been learning about a range of ways that children develop and learn. This also develops the understanding of the human growth process in terms of different learning styles and what teaching strategies can be used. Learning about a child’s learning in primary school is vital in being able to successfully develop a range of strategies to benefit both student and teachers learning. Communication strategies to support learning, strategies to support inclusive student participation and engagement in learning, and organisation of the classroom and providing directions to learners managing challenging behaviour are all significantly important to uphold in
