Every Tuesday at seven-thirty, I attend seminar for my learning community, ECCO. ECCO is Educators in Context and Community, it provides you with the ability to learn more about education, see aspects through others eyes, and meet new friends. We are able to meet once a week and discuss new ideas or upcoming events. Through ECCO we are able to get extra field placements, which helps build our resumes, and it provides us more opportunities in the education field. It is a little more work than others may have if they are not in the learning community however it is worth it, especially if it helps me obtain my dream job in the future.
ECCO is held on the main BGSU campus in the Math and Science building on the first floor, in room 210; it is held in the large lecture hall. Dr. Patrick Vrooman is the head/president of ECCO, he is the one that gets all of the students the wonderful opportunities and plans these meetings.
