Who am I is a question that everyone comes across at least one time in their life but who really has an answer. People look at their family and friends and try to sum up who they are but their is no one as qualified as you to sum up who you are. Only you can say what has influenced you and what is the most influential aspect in your life. However the fact that i am only eighteen years old i still can’t answer this question to the best of my ability but i have a small sense of who I am. The only thing that i can answer with no doubt is what has made me, me because there is a the influential aspects that has made me who i am today.

These four influences are definitely ones that have made me who I am today. My family background is a good one because I grew up with a single mother who worked as hard as she could to raise four kids was something that pushed me to do better. My mother couldn 't do it all with no help so she did have to get assistance from the government such as food stamps but she did everything else. And with her being in the situation that she always told me to do good in school and strive to do better than what she did and that is what I have been doing ever since. For my father he wasn’t really always there more of a I will see you here and there type of dad. I do love my father with all my heart seeing as though i am a daddy 's girl but the decisions he has made has affected our relationship. Since i can remember my day has sadly been in and out of jail and that really has hurt me and influenced me to make the right decisions and do way better in my life than what he did because growing up without a steady father i didn 't get all the father daughter moments like teaching me to ride a bike and stuff. Which means i have to work ten times harder to get what and where I want. Such as job opportunities even though I am still young i still have to work hard for a job because most jobs will hire the male first or a non minority. MAny stereotypes come into play with being an African american such as being ghetto or loud or incompetent so I feel as though I have always tried my best to prove that I am not a stereotype.
