I believe in hard work. Working hard will eventually pay off in the end. If you want something, you will do all you can to get it. Hard work can lead to success, and possibly a better life. You must be willing to work hard for the things that you want in life, big or small. I believe we as people should stop looking for the easy route to achieve things to get where we want to be. Instead put forth the effort that it takes to accomplish goals and/or dreams. Everything must be worked for, so why not work hard and achieve those things. Don’t be lazy and expect them to be handed to you.
Have you ever heard of the saying “Lazy hands make a poor man?” I believe that is somewhat true. If you’re out being lazy then you don’t get the outcome you expect to get if you were out being productive and working hard. For example, when I was in high school I ran track. Though track was a team sport, it was an individual sport as well. I ran hurdles and every time I won my race, that would give my team points to eventually become the overall winner of the

look at all the famous people you admire. How do you think they’ve gotten to where they are today? The answer is hard work. Actors, singers, athletes, and everyone else who is famous all had to put in hard work to achieve the lifestyle and dream that they are living today. They were determined to work hard because they knew what they wanted in life and never took no as an answer. Brandon Ingram is a perfect example. Brandon is nineteen years old and is a professional basketball player. In middle and high school, he was determined to be in the NBA, so he was always in the gym. Brandon never attended parties or hung out like an average teenager. He was only focused on his school work and basketball. Determined to make it out, during his senior year in high school Brandon received several offers to play college basketball. Which eventually helped him to begin a career in the
If someone wants to succeed in life and stay recognized by superiors, then he or she ought to appear hardworking. A person begins with setting goals. There are two categories, the first, “be” goals and the second, “do” goals. In other words, ask yourself, "What to be?" or "What to achieve?" Four categories of goals consist of wealth, health, relationships, and self-fulfillment which equal success. Working diligently to finish a task demonstrates how to live a successful life. Given these points, Thomas Edison, Helen Keller and Harriet Tubman, all exceptional achievers, found that prosperity undoubtedly comes along for everyone who perseveres.
In my opinion, I have been through lots of obstacles. From one of my best friends dying to my grandmother passing, it’s hard. But I didn’t quit, I didn’t give up on life I moved on and lived for them. Purpose; be unique, not average. Growing up our biggest want is to fit in. The last thing we want to do is stand out. We should have a purpose in our life span. I want to make a difference wherever I can, and impact somebody in a massive way. Sacrifice; seek wealth not riches. A few things we sacrifice each day that go unnoticed are, Time, Money, Relationships, and health. All of those things we sacrifice leads up to us creating wealth. Not necessarily money, but having what we need to be successful. Use your wealth to change others. Even with money, don’t let it change you. I write all of this to say, I want to be the best me I can be. I constantly want to work on becoming a better version of myself. The goals I have set for myself aren’t what a normal person should believe. I am working on being unique and not average, but also keep a high quality of life and thought. If I practice these 7 keys throughout my journey, I will definitely see you all from the
With these values, Johnson overcame adversity and rose to the heroic status that he now holds. This rich NBA great was not always the wealthy man everyone knows; through hard-work, he achieved status. Earvin Johnson grew up in a large and poor family. “With so many kids to take care of, my parents didn’t have enough money left over for luxuries” (Johnson 6).
“When Sonny Boy’s mama died he played nonstop all day, so hard our backboard splintered.” (Komunyakaa). Though out history all fame can be summed up by the act of love of something. Driving factors can be love for a parent, such as in the quotes above. Sonny Boy pushed himself through the sport of basketball to cope with his mother’s death. The love of your country/ land such as the Native Americans when fighting for Americans not to take and tarnish the land they respected and loved so much, fame was achieved by both parties of the war when American children learn about it in history classes today. Finally people can have the love of themselves to achieve fame, travelers moved west to make a better life for themselves and wanting to make
All my life I have been a lazy person, doing just enough to get by. Most of the time, in high school, I was content with just a “C”. The only time I wasn’t, was if it was a class I liked, and I paid attention to. If this was the case, I could have received a 99% on a test and been dissatisfied. But, for the rest of my classes, which were most of my classes, that I didn’t like, I never paid attention to or did homework, and I still managed to do well on tests. So basically I didn’t do anything except take tests and I still got satisfactory grades. In school I was so lazy that there could have been a project due worth about 20% of the final grade and I still wouldn’t do it.
Hard work is challenging work. But why does it have to be challenging work? Because challenging work, when intelligently chosen, pays off. It’s the work that people of lesser character will avoid. And if you infer that I’m saying people who avoid challenging work have a character flaw, you’re right… and a serious one at that. If you avoid challenging work, you avoid doing what it takes to succeed. To keep your muscles strong or your mind sharp, you need to challenge them. To do only what’s easy will lead to physical and mental flabbiness and very mediocre results, followed by a great deal of time and effort spent justifying why such flabbiness is OK, instead of stepping up and taking on some real challenges.
I come from a line of hard workers. Everything in my family was earned through hard work and if you knew me personally you would see that the core of our beliefs lie in obtaining a strong education. When I was growing up, my parents had emigrated from Jamaica to America for better opportunities. Both my parents grew up impoverished and did not want their children to live like they had. Coming to America was not the easiest thing for them as they had debts up to their noses. Since my father did not go to college, he could not hold down a steady job and worked meager temp jobs that barely paid the bills. My mother then took it upon herself to go to school in her thirties and worked to support and raise her three children. My mother at thirty six years old graduated with her associates and has been a nurse for almost fifteen years.
In the book Outliers, and in the articles, “Meaningful Work”, “Do, Just, Do: A Journey to Meaningful, Satisfying work”, and “ You Wont Find Meaningful work Looking Outside Yourself”, The authors Malcolm Gladwell, Michael F. Steger, Lori Deschene, and Keven wood describe what the joy of meaningful is to them.Life is what you make of it and it’s and up to you to decide what you will get out of it. Some people may work eight hour shifts Monday through Friday miserable, exhausted, depressed, unhappy, and under a lot of pressure and stress from their jobs. Others may do the same, similar, or different jobs being comfortable, happy with life, and pleased with their job position. Your job should be one of the most important things to you because you are there on average forty hours a week and most of your time is spent there. It should be important that you enjoy what you do because it is practically your second home. Meaningful work is a job you enjoy doing, are compassionate about, never tired of, and do for the fulfillment of yourself , it is important to success because if one enjoys what they do opportunities in their career path will only expand.
Feeling Lazy? When you feel lazy, even simple tasks seem like too much work because your energy is too low compared to the energy required by the task. If you blame the task for being too difficult or tedious, you'll procrastinate to conserve energy. Raise your energy level by eating right and exercising regularly. It is no secret that a fit person can handle much more task than an unfit person even though the difficulty of the task remains same. Improve on your eating habit; make your diet abundant in raw fruits and vegetables.
The first of my three philosophies, to work hard, can be easily explained. I feel that if money or a gift given to me by another person because I earned the reward is much more valued. In other words, knowing that I worked hard, did a good job, and deserve a reward makes me feel good inside. I also feel that all persons should have to work and support themselves. If a person does not wish to put forth any effort and work hard to support themselves,
What do people think about their life purpose? Most of us think about life that is studying hard in order to get a wonderful job, working hard, and getting married. They have dreamed of one day having an eternal vacation for themselves and not having to work anymore. The traditional people around the world consider that overworking is an essential condition for the early stage of their life. Especially in most of Asian countries, the average workweek is 48 hours. According to the fulltime employment, people work 35 to 40 hours per week to be defined as full-time. If more than that number, that should be considered overworking. Overworking is an important issue because that can lead to some serious consequences. Thus, we should consider work-life balance more seriously.
It is very common that many high school students hold part time jobs while going to school. When these teens work, they are able to learn and experience life lessons from ethical and moral work. Knowing that school is aways and should be a priority, students should work while in high school because working helps students be more responsible with their lives, help them practice time managment, and also helps students see and experience the real world.
When celebrities make the choice to become famous, they take on a big job of becoming a role model. Most children across America believe and rely on athletes to be their good examples. Ian Mendes states that, “Athletes may have money, fame
This is the success, money, and fame. Believe it or not, they all go hand in hand most of the time anyway. When a certain human obtains a doctorate, they can then pursue a dream to use their new-found knowledge to provide happiness to oneself. Happiness is the key to success when enjoying the profession chosen, anyone can reach previously thought as impossible levels. Look at Richard Branson, everyone told sir Branson he was never going to make it. Now look he is super rich and famous. But back on the topic, whilst being successful, one can receive large amounts of cash from jobs, that he or she now has the qualifications for. Many, many people love money, the green, little, piece of notepaper, rules multiple lives in the world today. Which is sad but makes sense because everything costs money, no matter where you go or what you do. Once, successful and having lots of cash, mostly like this human is famous for multiple reasons. First, he or she could be a billionaire. Secondly, this person might have invented something and or reached the New York Times headline. Essentially one way or another a wealthy successful man or female can be famous if they want to. If not all they have to do in the society today is flash a little bit of their wealth and then start teaching people how to reach the level, he or she would be at. On top of all of this, multiple famous people actually have
As you know, I am not a famous ball player or athlete. I am not a famous actor, entertainer or person with millions in the bank. I am not an ex-con who is going to tell you not to take the same path I took. However, my bio is quite powerful. Everything I went through made me the strong man I am today. I knew that education would be the key to my success. I developed the hunger and desire to be successful at a young age. I had so many reasons to become a statistic or to fail. Every one of those reasons would only have been excuses. I simply refused to become another negative statistic and that was a conscientious choice I made.
