Characteristics Of My Community

I am a Greek Orthodox Christian who grew up close to the church. The two morals which have truly helped shape me into the person I am today are to give my community and to help those in need. I feel those morals come to me naturally, similar to the French during the Second World War. If everyone were to help and give back to the community, there would be this connectives which would allow people to bond and almost become one. People during the time period we are living in do not take the time to get to know each other. The ideal plan would be able to all connect together, not just within the communities, but with a community and another community. The community is everyone, but sometimes individuals need a little extra help, which the community as a whole would not be able to provide. By aiding certain individuals it makes you feel morally fulfilled along with making the person who needed the help get back on their feet. Giving back to the community or to an individual is morally correct from what I learned while growing up, and it provides self-gratitude.
There are multiple characteristics which make a person who they are. The characteristic I feel which defines me the most is my religion. I am a Greek Orthodox Christian, I was raised very close to the church, geographically and spiritually. Without my religion I would not be the person I am today. I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago with people similar to my social location, middle class and white.
