Human Rights Violations in Syria

Syria is going through a civil war. A civil war is a war with the same country inside their country. Stephen Starr says that the Civil war is between the Sunni Muslim Rebels and most of Syria's 2 million Christians under the rule of Bashar Assad. Bashar Assad is the president of Syria, he is honestly not a bad man he thinks what the government is doing to the citizens is terrible. The civil war is mostly about the Christians not getting the freedom of religion that they want. They have not had a whole lot of problems in their history. Syrians are trying to figure out what to do with the chemical weapons they have. The Chemical weapons are being used by the rebels, and they should not be using them at all because they are making things a lot worse in Syria. Syria is south of Turkey, north of Jordan, east of Lebanon, east of the Mediterranean Sea, and west of Iraq. They are in the Middle East. There are also a lot of issues in the Middle East that we should be worried about, but the human rights violations in Syria are more important because they are taking human rights and violating them to where they do not feel safe or free. Most countries have human rights violations but Syria's violations are getting really bad. Most of the world is getting upset with the Syrian government for treating the citizens they way they are with no freedom or anything. We should care about Syria because their citizens and being sexually assaulted, tortured, and murdered.
There are many human rights violations in Syria but the one we are going to start with is that in Syria they sexual assault their citizens as mentioned in the Human Rights Watch. Sexual assault is having sex with someone that does not want to have the sex, which is also called rape. Th...
