Humans behave in many different ways for many reasons. Behavior can be influenced by environment, values, emotions, or from society in general. Our behavior can change as we grow older for better or for worse. We can control our behavior, but sometimes people don’t care enough about their behavior, and sometimes people care too much. We behave for reactions and our reactions are based off of others behavior. The idea of what is an acceptable behavior changes based on an individual’s opinion, morals, and values.
The internet is an amazing invention. You can use it for research, communication, learning, entertainment, taking an online English class, and other things. The internet can affect our behavior, and our behavior on the internet can affect other people. Communicating on the internet can be a lot different than communicating in public. You can say anything you want anonymously on the internet. The things you say can affect others in positive, such as teaching, or negative ways, such as bullying. Social media has turned into a world of its own where people act completely different than they would in public.
One main form of negative human behavior online is cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is essentially bullying, except it can be done anonymously without the bully even knowing the victim. It can be from adults to children, teens to adults, or from anyone to anyone. People tend to say things they wouldn’t say face to face when cyberbullying. Even someone who is a nice person in public could be a cyberbully online. People cyberbully to intimidate, control, or humiliate another person. The motive for bullying could be anything. People may do it for entertainment, or to feel superior. Cyberbullying could also be the way someone is venting out anger or frustration from issues they are suffering in their own life.
The effects on a victim of cyberbullying can be quite drastic. When someone is harassed from a cyberbully it can be hard to escape them. The bully might stalk them online and harass them on social media or online public forums, humiliating them to peers. This has many emotional effects on the victim including depression, anxiety, anger, and has even caused a few cases of suicide. An example of cyberbullying would be when someone posted photos of themself online, such as Facebook, and someone makes fun of them and calls them ugly and fat intentionally to make the person feel bad.
Individuals who say cruel things online could make the victim have a lower self esteem. Having a low self esteem means that the victim thinks poorly of their self and doesn’t want to be their self. Having low self esteem could lead to depression. Depression can really have a bad effect on the victim. According to “The Ophelia Project” , “60% of targets said that their online experiences as a target of cyberbullying affected them at school, home, and with friends, reported experiencing feeling of frustration, anger and sadness.” Victims feel frustrated that these people are making fun of them online which can cause them to be sad that this is happening to them and angry that they won’t do anything about their situation. The victim could also have a lower self concept of their self and just start hating their self to where they don’t even want to look in mirror at their self. Victims who have gone through this should know that the person who said rude things to them will be prosecuted for what they’ve

Cyber bullying is when a person threatens another via the internet, or other communication devise. It can be used to harm others for fun or malicious purposes. Cyber bullying is actual bullying. We can conclude that there are a huge deal of negative and positive aspects when we refer to the Internet as we already saw, however, what we should do is to take advantage of every progress in development offered by it, without forgetting that everything in excess is harmful for us. Using your Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram account won’t isolate you from the society, but using social networks as the only means of communication is not the healthiest choice you can make. Find the balanced life you need and deserve, including in it an active social life in the outside world too. As Queen Rania of Jodan once said, “Social media are a catalyst for the advancement of everyone 's rights. It is where we are reminded that we are all human and all equal. It is where people can find and fight for a cause, global or local, popular or specialized, even when there are hundreds of miles between
“The internet has 3.17 billion users. 2.3 billion of those people are users of social media. Every person has about 5.54 social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter , etc. Facebook and Whatsapp handle about 60 billion messages per day” (Smith). These are just a few statistics on how many people use social media and how often they use it. I myself am an active user of social media. I have Twitter and Facebook, Instagram and other accounts even. Social media can be used for good and bad purposes, just like everything. Social media can help things like communication with distant relatives and friends, games and pastimes, having a place for all of your memories and photos, and advertisements for things a user might be interested in. Social media can also have big effects on things like businesses, education, and your everyday life. “In 1995, newsweek published the now infamous article titled, “The Internet, Blah!”
Cyberbullying can have different effects on the bully. Some negative effects are that the bully will probably abuse alcohol and drugs. They are more likely to be in fights,

The internet socializes adolescents in ways that they can communicate to anyone anywhere in the world in an instant. It connects them to friends, family, or even strangers. The internet has socialized me in ways that I am able to talk to anyone from around the world. I also have friends in Europe, so it becomes easier to communicate with them. But also, that could be a dangerous thing, the internet gives people a way to hide behind their screens.
There are many social influences which have an effect or lasting effect on the behavior of an individual. Within many group scenarios, conformity and obedience play a large role in how people tend to think and behave, especially if they get carried away. Obedience refers to compliance to an authority figure or with others in a group. On the other hand, conformity refers to an individual changing their thoughts, attitudes, and behaviors to accommodate with the standards of a group or their peers. Both of which are pure examples of how human behavior changes based on certain social situations. Obedience and conformity both occur during situations of social facilitation, social loafing, and groupthink.
Many teens shrug off cyberbullying as merely annoying, or even funny, although it could have serious consequences. Cyber bullying which may be visible to others online can be very hard on a young adolescent. It has an affect on the mental health adolescents. Psychological studies state that human behaviour is triggered by needs or the consequences that results from acts. In other words human behaviour is motivated by certain factors. The human behaviour can be influenced by using these factors in a positive or negative context.
World is a haphazard collection of various kinds of individuals. People make use of different languages and practice various customs and rituals. A group of different people assemble to form a society and interact with each other in various ways. “Behavior” is basically how people act in a particular way. People adopt a certain behavior due to number of factors. Some people adapt a certain lifestyle because of what they inherit from their parents. The behavior of a rich child would be different from the behavior of poor child. The behaviors may also be different due to difference in religion. People behave differently also because they are brought up in different environments in their families. Another factor that affects the behavior of an individual is awareness. “Human behavior flows from three main sources: desire, emotion, and knowledge” (Plato 1). An educated person will, for example, be more aware of the manners and etiquettes of living in the society than an uneducated person. However it must be noted that these factors can be controlled to a noticeable extent. Therefore, although aforementioned factors do affect the behavior of the individual; however, these factors can be controlled and their effect can be minimized. Hence, it can be said that a behavior of the individual does not depend on the factors that are beyond their control.
