A lot of people ask how to succeed in college. You hear the words “I can’t, it’s too hard, professors give too much homework”, I can go on forever but I’m not trying to figure out why students say doubtful comments. What I really am striving to answer is, how to succeed in college. Some people blow right through college because they were given the right fundamentals prior in High school. Well when I think about that I say “lucky you”. I’m one of those students that have only had a semester and a half of familiarity and I’m finally starting to understand how to succeed in college.
I CAN do it
First thing on my agenda to talk about is how the things you say can affect your confidence. For example, if you are telling yourself I cannot do something as in maybe homework assignment, odds are you are not going to give the assignment 100% of your capabilities. Have you ever heard of the law of attraction? It’s a belief that “like attracts like” just by thinking negative thoughts can attract negative things to happen. People that believe in it consist of Jim Carrey, Arnold Schwarzenegg...
