Executive Summary In traditional signaling system on railway application, it used the Fixed Block System (FBS) and Moving Block System (MBS) is commonly employed to control train operation on track. On this system when a leading train has stop moving it will block the behind follow as train operation. If a leading train is halt on track for any unexpected reasons for a long time. That will be a big jam-up occurs on track. For this dense queue result, the unexpected interaction situation between running trains when they begin to move again. This may cause excessive short-time overloads to occur on nearly feeder station. Which is caused it the peak electrical demand problem. The railway electrical engineer call this is "starting problem". Therefore operators in depth study how to improve the signaling system performance to reduce the electrical peak demand. (MBS) is according to the above problems creation, it include time delay & accelerate rate techniques, is identified to "Peak Demand Reduction (PDR) techniques. This project will based on PDR proposed idea and concept, through the software to simulation studies the peak demand reduction, delay and energy saving. Simulation software will collect train starting characteristic input parameter. Through different calculation and data comparison to find out an simple graph to explain comparison in terms of Peak Demand Reduction (PDR) techniques.
