The idea that anything other than a human could build a car, stitch a shirt, package food, or even perform medical procedures was unheard of a century ago. However, in the world we live in today, with the advancements in science and engineering we have made there exists machines capable of these tasks. Machines are advancing and doing things that once were thought only able to be done by humans. As machines become more and more capable and competent of performing jobs that are now dominated by humans certain questions arise. Should we even implement this technology because it could be more harmful for millions of people to lose their jobs? All factors must be considered, included, and talked about. When implemented correctly, man and technology can work together to make our society thrive. The decisions we make now regarding these advances in machinery and technology will not only affect our economy now, but the livelihoods of coming generations. Let 's get the elephant in the room out of the way, jobs. The stigma associated with machines in the workplace is that they take human jobs and replace them. While in most cases machines are put alongside of the worker to help them in their task, there are circumstances where humans are put out of work because of machines. Yes, people are put out of work initially because of machines, but there are other factors and opportunities that are not considered. The main thing people look over is the jobs that are created by having these additional machines. Examples of these jobs include maintenance of the machinery, troubleshooting and repair jobs, computer science jobs for when the machineries code can be improved or if it needs to be recoded. Thus, creating a better society and life for the people in your country. There also comes a point where you can scan for opportunities to integrate technology and machinery elsewhere in the world. A great place to start this scan is in third world countries where this integration is nonexistent. Investing in these places and helping them integrate technology and machinery into their production will increase their efficiency and production possibilities exponentially. This type of growth would not be possible in first world countries where the integration has already taken
