Effectively working within the realm of Global eLearning requires patience, creativity, flexibility, and proper planning. Some individuals find the new depths of technology daunting and choose to stay clear. While others choose to focus on the more superficial areas and simply use state-of-the-art technology to play games and shop. Still, there are individuals who have concerns about the expense of keeping up with today’s technology demands and choose to do things “the old-fashioned way.” As education continues to dive deeper into the pools of tools that the high tech industry offers it will be important to be a skillful swimmer with a strong plan intact. Some instructors fear that integrating digital technology requires 100% replacement of traditional teaching methods. Troxell, 1:1 Learning suite (n.d.), advises instructors to hold on to our strengths and still include non-tech time into day to day instruction. Technology is a helpful tool that the instructor can use to properly differentiate everything in the classroom from the way students stay organized to how they communicate. It places students in charge of their learning and often moves the lessons in serendipitous directions leading to increased student creativity and away from the traditional sit-and-get (Cleaver, 2014). Planning for 90 minute lessons provides ample time to properly blend technology into a traditional Biology classroom. Allowing students to review lab procedures from a Moodle site and participate in an online blog discussion with their peers as a homework assignment will increase the fluency of the procedure and enhance the in-class, hands-on portion of the experiment (Fuhrman, 2014) Assessments can also be administered using many online platforms such as Discovery Education and All-In-Learning, these allow even deeper
