Twitter is a social media app that is on the rise right now. Twitter can be seen as a modern day Facebook; the concept is the exact same but there are a few differences. Twitter lets their users posts their thoughts in 140 characters or less, and that is called a “tweet” (very similar to a status update in Facebook). These “tweets” can include photos, a GIF, or a video. Like Facebook you can share this information to your “Facebook friends”, but in this case it’s called your “followers”. Instead of adding people you know, you are able to follow random people which means random people have the ability to follow you. You also have the ability to “retweet” (similar to “sharing” something on Facebook) and “favorite” (similar to liking something on Facebook) other accounts tweets. The should be Christian values and leaders in a social media to lead and guide your teenager in the right direction. There should be multiple accounts that have different types of Christian values like; scripture, encouragement, words of wisdom, bible stories, and a fellowship. Twitter can meet these standards in its app. Even though there are inappropriate accounts and materials throughout Twitter, if you look hard enough you will find appropriate Christian accounts to follow. Finding Christian accounts in twitter is like finding a flower in a patch of weeds. There a multitude of bad accounts on twitter, but once you find the good one it is relieving and nice. There are multiple accounts that fit each one of these categories to help uplift and lead Christian teenagers in a social media generation.
