The definition of personality is the development of the organized pattern of behaviors and attitudes that makes a person distinctive. A personality is what make the people of our society different from everyone else. Every person on this earth has their very own personality. In some cases there may be things a like, but the personality trait combinations are not always the same. My personality consists of these three traits: hard-working, determined, and friendly. Hard-working is a word that describes me. Whenever there is work to be done or someone needs help, I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and lend a hand. For example, one chilly December evening, my friend Ian got his red two-wheel drive ranger stuck in a snow drift just down …show more content…
I make new friends wherever I go. I have always made friends very easily. I feel that is because I am not afraid to walk up to random strangers and start a conversation. One time, my mom and dad took my brother, sister, and I on vacation to Wisconsin Dells. We went to a hotel and waterpark in one called Mt. Olympus. There was many people there. Somehow I got separated from my family by the kiddy pool. I then just looked around and saw a boy about my age playing alone just a few steps from me. I introduced myself and asked him where he was from. He said that his name was Bret and he was from Chicago. I found that very cool and continued to play with Bret for the remainder of our trip. We were nearly best friends when I started the long journey home. The second time I recall being really friendly was at the Menominee County Fair. A boy from my school named Ian was there, but he was all alone and doing nothing. I was with my close nit group of friends, but I invited him to join us. He was actually very nice and interesting. From that day forward he has been one of my closest friends. The third time I remember being genuinely friendly was when a younger kid from my school was getting bullied by kids from my grade. The boy 's name was Trae and he played football for the jv team. Players from the varsity team where picking on him for the way he spoke. As a team captain, I felt it was my duty to do something about it. I confronted my teammates about it and told them to stop. They of course took it well and did exactly what I asked. I also had them apologize for what they had done. They did not feel like they had to but I made sure they did so. Trae went from being quiet and mostly unseen in the locker room to out and about talking to everyone with a big smile on his face. He thanked me for what and I did and told that it was no problem and that if it was the other way around I am sure he would have done the same
Elizabeth Woods integrates the element of foreshadowing into Choker in order to entice the reader and hint towards future events. She does so by providing subtle clues throughout the text, alluding to the fact that Zoe murdered two girls who bullied Cara at school. When investigators arrive at Cara’s home to inform her family of the news, they state, “‘We’ve found a pearl necklace that Alexis’s parents have identified as hers [...] We’ve now shifted the investigation from suicide to a possible abduction’ [...] Cara flashed to the barn. Zoe rolling that little bead of light between her fingers” (Woods 144). Woods foreshadows that Zoe may have something to do with Alexis’s disappearance through “pearl necklace” that once belonged to her. After coming to this realization, Cara begins to link the mysterious “bead of light” that Zoe fiddled with on the night of her “abduction” shorty after an unexpected and unexplained absence on Zoe’s behalf. Given these clues, the reader can begin to formulate a suspicion of Zoe in Alexis’s vanishing. Specifically, at this point in the novel, the audience is aware of the fact that the pearl Zoe held “between her fingers” truly belonged to Alexis and was likely stolen off of her as a keepsake.
Personality is defined as the combination of characteristics or qualities that form an individual's distinctive character. Our personality has a huge influence on our enduring, distinctive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors which influence how we adapt to our world. It’s how we define ourselves, and how others view you. Many psychologists have faced the challenge of trying to determine where our personality is derived from. Four main theories have been established on personality including psychodynamic, humanistic, trait, and social-cognitive. Using these theories, you can often better understand why people are the way that they are, such as Bill Cosby.
Type A Personality or Type A Behavior Pattern (TABP) include typical responses of competitiveness, time urgency, and hostility. Type A’s normally strive towards a goal without feeling a sense of joy in their efforts or accomplishments. They also seem to be in a constant struggle against the clock and become impatient with any delays and unproductive time. Type A’s also tend to see the worse in others and display anger, envy and lack of compassion (McLeod, 2017).

Personality should be something that stands out about someone. They should go out and be proud of who they are. The topic of interest that I will be covering in this article critique is the correlation between the type A personality and the onset of heart disease. The media article, “Greater Health Risk Seen for Type A Personalities,” claims that a new study has found that aggressive behavior often associated with type A personalities may increase a person’s risk for heart disease. Conversely, the scholarly article, “Hotheads and heart attacks” discusses the Mary Brown experiment, which discovered that type A personalities face no higher risk of heart disease than anyone else. In fact, it was found that type A personalities fare better than their calm counterparts. The researchers conducting the Mary Brown experiment found that hostility was the only
Personality can be defined as the ways a person acts and thinks. The characteristics that make up how a person acts and thinks are called personality traits. Personality traits are the building blocks that make up a person’s personality, and the varied combination of traits is what make each person so unique.

There are 16 personality types. I happen to be ISFJ; introverted, sensing, feeling, and judging. I am very aware of my surroundings and tend to seek security in relationships and occupations. I will learn that my values and beliefs influence day-to-day activities as well as my decisions and how they affect other people. We have to pay careful attention to how we react and what we let influence us because as an ISFJ, we let feelings trump over reason. I must figure out how to make the right choice even if other people don’t like it. I cannot let emotion overcome logic.
Our personalities are what distinguish us from each other beyond our appearance; without them, we would all behave and react in the same way. Personality is the reason we are outgoing or introverted, persistent or blaze, and anxious or calm. We each have different levels of these competing characteristics that make us unique. But why are personalities so varied? Personality is determined by an array of factors from genetic and biological to the personal experiences and decisions we have faced from the day we are born. The complexity of our personalities cannot be simply explained, and for this reason there exists many different theories of how it’s developed and personality is still deeply under study. I went into this subject with an open-mind
Personality tests tell a person a lot about why a person is who they have become. I believe that these test if taken truthfully can identify deficiencies that individuals can work on to benefit not only themselves but others in the organizations that they work in. Some models state that it is in human nature and chemicals that decided how a person acts but I believe it is based on life experiences and a personality can change as long as a person knows the deficiencies and works to change them.
Personality is the unique characteristic patterns of thinking, feelings and behaviours of a person. Each person has different personality which distinguishes a person from another. In our life, we have to make decisions every day. The decision-making process is influenced by our logical thinking as well as our personality.
Personality takes many shapes and forms and is affected by many factors. My understanding of personality is simply a genetic and environmentally determined set of psychological traits that influence our reactions in the world around us. Genetic because our parents possess a certain set of psychological personality traits that we tend to have in common with them so therefore in my opinion there are heritable personality traits. Personality is environmental because we each have our own separate experiences in the world and these experiences help form our unique personality. Neo-Freudians such as Jung have given us a wide array of ideas of how they believe personality is developed and formatted. Jung in particular has a very interesting
Personality can affect all different aspects of one’s life. There are links connecting personality to academic and occupational success and social relationships. Health can even be affected by personality because immunity can be altered by personality traits like sociability, optimism, and carelessness. Personality determines the way social interactions occur and when social relationships are determined by how the interactions occur personality can really affect the way one builds social relationships. Just like social relationships, academic and occupational success are affected by personality traits like carelessness, mastery, and agreeableness.
