People all over the world study and learn in educational settings throughout their lives. However, many people are not learning at their highest levels of capability, and for the most part, it is because many students and people do not know how to learn efficiently. Many students have poor and unhealthy habits for studying, but if they knew how to be more efficient with their study time, they could learn more effectively. Studies worldwide are beginning to spring up about the connection from exercise to learning, cognition, and brain activity, but does exercise help you learn?
When working out the heart works and pumps “new” oxygenated blood throughout the entire body, including the head and brain. Within the blood are oxygen and vital nutrients that feed the brain. The blood also carries chemicals, hormones that cause brain growth, nerve protecting compounds, and proteins which aid in the protection and manufacturing of neurons. The proteins that are released have been proved to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease, therefore increasing and protecting memory production. (Karen Asp).
Everyone knows that sweating and pushing your body to the limits, although hard at sometimes, is beneficial in the long run.
