We all continually learn new things in life. Constantly increasing our knowledge is essential if we are to progress further or develop ourselves. Whatever field we are involved in, we always have to look for ways and means to expand our knowledge. Increase in knowledge in a particular subject can lead to better understanding, grasp, judgment, intelligence, and ability in that particular area. It can expand our thinking and heighten our expertise on a topic. So how do we go about gaining knowledge? What are the sources of knowledge? (Hs) Does knowledge depend upon the learning styles or particular type of education that a person receives?

Knowledge ought to be attained from the efforts that a person puts out and are willing to put forth. Despite the wide variety of information that is apparent in the world, knowledge is always power. The way in which people gain knowledge depends upon the type of education that they receive and how much time a person is willing to spend studying. Knowledge is power because the way that a person uses the information can have a positive or negative impact on life, others and the world. There are many ways to learn. Some people are naturally gifted, some learn from hearing, doing, or even seeing things. But no matter how information is used, it all matters on what a person does with the information that they have acquired.

Learning is an activity which everyone must do in his or her life. The renowned Indian Philosopher J. Krishnamurti said: “There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education.
