How do you evaluate the performance of your senior leaders, including the chief executive, and your governance board? Senior leaders are evaluated by the performance of the agency to include fiscal, operational and interactivity. They are required to meet certain standards regarding stipulated requirements in productivity within their assign area of responsibility. Success of the agency is the responsibility of all employees. Senior leaders must effectively guide the agency in the right direction. If the agency falters in meeting operational objectives, the performance of senior leadership is therefore in question. How do you promote and ensure ethical behavior in all interactions? In law enforcement we are always in the public view, therefore it is essential and critical to the performance of our duties to act in an ethical behavior, which promotes trust and reassurance that we will uphold our responsibilities to serve and protect with honor and loyalty. Any infractions regarding unethical behavior is immediately investigated by the agency and OIG for corrective action, if warranted and is immediately enforced. The agency provides quarterly training to insure ethical behavior is reinforced. Ethics training is conducted through via web based training and also during annual training.
