Reflection On Caresource

During the length of the course, one of the main ideas we learned about is that dialogue can shape the story that we visualize. The most impactful instance of this is when we had the class split up into two groups and read the same story but the questions asked at the end of it were different. It was almost unbelievable that we had read the same story because of how different the answers to the question were. On one side of the room they were very positive and optimistic about the future of the company, and the other side they were pessimistic and untrusting of the company and returning CFO.
This was a main thing we kept in mind when we were interviewing the Caresource employees and we were going through the questions with them. The way the questions were worded almost made it hard to answer them with a negative answer. This made the conversation between us and the Caresource employees informative about strengths and weaknesses without creating negative emotions.
We collected our information on the printouts of the questions we asked and then compiled that into a big summary. We made sure that we read a couple other interviews from the other group members, and then extracted the main themes that we thought were the most prominent. CareSource is already an organization that practices positive organizational development through CareSource University. It was interesting to see the CareSource facilitators in action and performing the same forms of OD that we have been learning about, such as appreciative inquires and using the 4 D model of Discover>Dream>Design>Deliver.
