ABSTRACT
This research paper is about breast-feeding, shows six sources about breastfeeding, how breastfeeding can help mothers and babies. Breast milk can prevent many diseases for mothers and babies. For instance: for mothers: diabetics, hypertension, breast cancer, ovarian cancer and postpartum depression; and for babies: gastrointestinal tract, asthma, obesity, type two diabetes and lower respiratory infections. In one of the sources I found that breast milk is very important for babies the first six months because mothers when they just got birth, mothers produce a yellow milk called Colostrum who has all nutrients and antibodies very important for the babies’ growth.
Also breast milk is cheaper and easier than formula milk, cheaper for mothers because they do not to spend money on milk and they can save that money for another things and easier for mothers and babies because for mothers they do not need to heat the milk, milk is already done for babies, and easier for babies because they can only eat the milk that they …show more content…

Many mothers do not breastfeed their babies because of the society, in some cases society consider that breastfeeding is erotic, but they do not realize that breastfeeding is good for the baby.
The next source “Nutrition During Lactation” by Institute of Medicine (U.S.), examines the “Who Breastfeeding in the United States?”. In this book shows that how in the United States people are promoted breastfeeding because breastfeeding is an important point for babies growth, nutrition and health as well as maternal health. According to this book, mothers in context know that breastfeeding is the best food for babies but in real life not all of them breastfeed their babies.
