Education is taken very seriously by today’s society. Parents are encouraged to start schooling their children at a very young age. Which way of schooling do you think is more beneficial to you, homeschooling or public schooling? These are the two main types of schooling to gain information from K-12th grades. Out of the two, public schools are more popular than homeschooling. Public schools show more understanding in specific characteristics and better opportunities than a student being homeschooled. As the children grows, they continue in their years of schooling. It is very difficult to get anywhere in life without an education. Colleges look for well-educated people to accept to their programs so that the students can learn and apply that learning in the work force.

In “Learning, Social Interaction and Diversity-Exploring Identities in School”, Abreu, Guida de, Aalsvoort, G.M. van der, Hjorne, Eva discusses that” public schools are more beneficial because you learn and you gain skills of social interactions”. It includes findings from regular classrooms and from special classes organized for children and young people described as having socio-emotional problems, learning disabilities, or having reading and writing difficulties. It also includes research in classrooms outside of mainstream provision, such as minority ethnic groups language and culture schools. Again, protecting children is very important, but children and teenagers need to learn to fend for themselves. They must be able to stand up for themselves in times of trouble.
Lastly when it 's time to make your decision on which schooling to choose from, pick carefully. Both public and homeschooling have great opportunities, however pick the school that best suits you or your children. Public schooling teaches students more of the foundations through social interactions, extracurricular activities/clubs, discipline, competition and preparation for the real world. Homeschooling can also teach students these characteristics but not with the understanding as they would learn in public schooling.
