There are a few diffent ways a parent can choose to educate their child(ren). Whether they send their child to a public or private school, depending on the parents choice they may have their child take online classes or instead they may choose to homeschool their child(ren).
Individuals can question a parent on " Why would they choose to home school their child instead of a traditional classroom"? There are numerous reasons parents have opinioned that homeschooling is a better option for their child 's best interest. A main reason parents decide to homeschool their child is to protect them. I personally think that protection of a child is very important, one thing to also take into consideration is if a child who is homeschooled was ever to

Some children enjoy the idea of being homeschooled for several different reasons, for one home is home and it is their comfort zone also know as being a the safest place to be or they can wear their pjs. Others may dislike being homeschooled because they are stuck home for 8 hours of no socialization with other children , so the child may feel trapped and no room to grow a little wild. Interaction with other children is a need, specially for one who 's growing. Feeling trapped or stuck can lead for one to be antisocial, or can result into a child to rebel in a manor of their normal behavior actions. the environment for the child as he or she is being homeschooled is just as important as the parents choice of "Homeschooling". Most parents, specially the mothers, fear that their child will or can get out of control specially since they are the ones raising them and know how their child reacts to new situations with someone else in charge. However, pre-school can amaze a parent and can make a difference at an early age for a child. The child learns new things everyday, whether they remember what they learned for the day or not, they learn for future references and use what they have learned without realizing it. They also learn how to deal with issues that cause problems from the choices they choose. They can correct the mistakes by experience right from …show more content…
They can either be serious , or some may look the other way. Bullying is something serious and should never be done. Then again we can 't control a bully or make someone choose to be a bully. One his self makes the decision either from what they see or don 't even realize they are doing it and that 's how an individual learns from his or hers action. I 've never been bullied but from stories on the news about bullying is something serious and should not even be done at any time. I 'm against it, and think we are all human and deserve to be treated with some sort of respect just cause we 're all human, learning to live and living to learn. We learn from our rights and wrongs, or our do 's or don 't . One thing to stop bullying is to not even act upon it. It 's pointless and meaningless to act out on. People can get hurt and sometimes the outcome can get to serious for one to handle. Which may cause one to self harm or harm others just by a few bad choices or words said to one. Knowing you can be nice and respectful even if you don 't like something or someone shows self respect. You can learn from experience or from observing your surroundings for yourself or others around you. We all have a bully inside us, some choose to be a bully to themselves and others choose to be towards others. It 's not right either way.
Homeschooling is becoming more popular in today’s society then before. Homeschooling is teaching school subjects to one’s children at home (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). But is homeschooling the best way to educate children? Homeschooling can bring more positive outcomes versus public or private schooling. This is because homeschooling can bring many benefits such as family orientation, no worries about bullies, less exposure to bad influences like drugs. Also it has a good success rate, adaptable cost, and flexibility. Homeschooling will keep increasing year by year. According to Dr. Brian D. Ray about 2% to 8% per annum was the growth over the past few years. For these and many more reasons is why parents choose to home school their children.
Homeschooling is becoming a huge trend across America. It does have its downsides to it, just like any other education. Many parents have to worry about the right way of letting their child have socialization. Without proper socialization, a child can lack proper social skills. Many parents fear the temptations public school can provide, so they homeschool their children to bring them up with holy and moral attitudes. No parent wants their child to hang around other children who abuse drugs, alcohol, or can misguide their children down a wrong path. With homeschooling, parents can monitor whom their children socialize with and for how long. Fearing to not have any socialization at all is where parents can go wrong.
First, homeschooled children work more efficiently than public schooled children. Because homeschooled children receive more one on one attention than children do in public school, they receive the assistance they need to understand a lot faster than they would in a classroom with twenty other students. This allows them to get extra attention for things they
In order to determine whether Homeschooling is indeed promising, one must first understand the reasons why people choose to Homeschool. According to Reich, Homeschooling is appealing to many families because of the capability to almost entirely customize education for their children. Many families want to homeschool because they do not feel that their children’s spiritual and moral needs are met in public schools.
Homeschooling is an unusual punishment inflicted upon many children in America. School is a place to be educated, make friends, find out who you are and learn life lessons. Homeschooling doesn't allow a child to independently develop. They are hidden from the real world. This causes many problems later in life.
Some people argue that homeschooling is the way to go, because parents have more choices. Some families who homeschool believe that homeschooling is better than school, because regular school is government mandated, so the government determines what is necessary for children to be learning. These families get to choose what they think is critical for their child to learn and they think that all families have the right to define what their child is learning and that they should have complete control. A few families choose to homeschool because they want to decide what kind of education their child is getting and base it around their religious beliefs, because they think that schools have become too separated from religion. In Virgi...
Homeschooling has been around for a long period of time. People wanted their kids to be homeschooled for a number of reasons. They felt like their kids was just part of a system and that their kids was missing out on a real education. In the 1970s John Holt, “began arguing that formal schools’ focus on rote learning created an oppressive classroom environment designed to make children compliant employees (J. Gary Knowles, Stacey E. Marlow, & James A. Muchmore, 2015).” It’s ok to be a compliant employee but people want the best for the kids and the only way for that is for your kid to be the boss. With that statement John got a few people to buy in and follow his movement and started homeschooling their kids. With homeschooling as a parents you wear a lot of different hats, so with that said you have to have a lot of patients with your kids because they’re going to ask a lot of questions. People need to have some
Parents decide to homeschool their children for multiple reasons. The most commonly given reason for homeschooling is religious and/or moral values. These reasons make up roughly seventy-five percent of parents. Some of these parents want more spiritual lessons taught that would not be provided in other schools. Others do not want their children to learn about evolution theories or sex education. The second most popular reason for hom...
Their parents aren’t teachers, and just teach them what they want to teach them. Finally, they don’t get certain benefits offered by all public schools. All these reasons and many more, is why I think public schooling can be a better educational system than homeschooling. Firstly, a child’s youth is what molds them for their future, making friends and socializing during school is what helps them get an image, and a social group. This gives them a sense, of who they are, and what kind of people they will get along with in life.
There are numerous reasons why parents turn to homeschooling. Changes in the families and public schools drive the increase. Public schools grew larger, more bureaucratic, and more impersonal. Parents felt more alienated as the school was less responsive and less adaptive to cultural needs. This was combined with the loss of the Christian culture and curriculum the parents found offensive or against their social values (Gaither, 2008).
One might ask why some parents decide to home school their children rather than send them to public school to receive a traditional public education. In his article, “What Have We Learned About Homeschooling,” Eric Isenberg offers data which says, “Families choose to homeschool their children for both academic and religious reasons” (407). Even so, most people claim that public school offers the perfect environment for learning and developing. They argue
There are many reasons for homeschooling a child. These reasons include, religious reasons, lack of a good public school district, and distrust of any school district for one’s child, to name a few. Many professionals are completely against the practice of home schooling, says Thomas Shannon, executive director of the National School Board Association. He says that home schooling is “a giant step backward into the 17th century. (Stencel, 1994)
Homeschooling is receiving instruction of education in a place other than an established school. Some parents feel if they keep their children at home, they can minimize the chance that harm can happen. Other parents feel that they know their child best and can utilize personal strengths to work on educational needs. In the past, religion was the leading cause of parents who chose home schooling, now days this does not necessarily hold true.
Bullying of students in school is an abuse that affects and produces a number of negative experiences on the victim. It is proven that those students who bully do so merely because they see themselves superior than those being bullied. They use this as a tactic to make juniors fear them and show them that they are not equal in any way. Some will even bully as a revenge of the bullying they suffered in the past. I have been bullied before and I know some of the effects it could have on a person. Bullying is a serious cause of many issues and has effects that may be long lasting.
...l that it is a decision that a parent needs to make, based on what they feel are important standards for learning. Home schooling provides a more relaxed environment, with a one on one learning environment and a flexible schedule. It also provides a pace that is best for the child, an environment on areas children want to focus on as well as confident student who doesn¦Ðt have to deal with the feelings of others. However, it decreases the socialization of the child, less exposure to different ethnicities and a limited view of the real world. The parents probably do not have the knowledge they need to teach, there are more distractions to deal with and parents may not know how to teach. These ideas are serious to think about and only add to the controversial idea of home schooling.
