Homeostasis to Betty Am I a macro part of an organization or organizations, mezzo part of a group of friends, co-workers or family, or micro an individual or part of a family? Homeostasis and how it works in each. I am an individual and according to our text a “Micro system refers to an individual (Micro, Mezzo, and Macro Systems, 2013).” As an individual I am different than anyone else even though I may share similar family, friends, education, employment and interest no one else is exactly the same. As part of a family system micro and mezzo systems the line gets a little blurred. This larger family system where I am a child, daughter, sister aunt, sister-in-law, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. This is where I met my husband who started out as part of an extended subsystem group of friends that we knew who enjoyed music and dancing. We taught each other to dance, shared recipes, took care of each other’s children when the need arose and helped each other out when the need arose at work to restore homeostasis. I belong to the Northeast Texas Council of Activity Coordinators organization and is considered to be a macro system. We pay dues and get together once a month for continuing education and networking if someone has lost a job someone else may know of an opening helping to restore the homeostasis. The community I live in is called Ravanna it is a macro system in which we help each other. In the reason bad weather when trees fell on the road men from the community got their saws and cleaned the trees from the roads and other neighbor’s yards, helped cover roofs until repairs could be done.
