Recommended: Nature of the HOLY SPIRIT

Tongues of fire came to rest on all those who were present, and they began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. I personally haven’t been blessed with it but I’m hoping someday if I keep striving I will be able to overcome my struggles and feel what other have felt. Later in Acts 2 we are told that the three thousand who were converted by Peter’s sermon by devoted themselves to the apostles. Teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. It is amazing on how Peter can bring that many people to God to lead them into new believing and to show the way God attends us to be.
The Holy Spirit is something that is sacred and if you’re fortunate it receive the power you are the works of God. There are many people here in school that I look up to and hopefully I can follow in their footsteps. There are many people that have different believers in the Holy Spirit like. I believe that not everyone can have it because God will decide who can work in their own ways to help other with the works of the Holy Spirit.
He the Lord Jesus makes it clear in Acts 1:8 that the disciples should wait for the coming of the Holy Spirit for they will receive power when the Spirit comes on them. This is why I should be patient and wait for when God thinks I’m ready. It is only after this event that they will in the fullest and most proper sense become His witnesses. Mission is therefore associated linked to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit’s involvement does not end with the initiation of the missionary enterprise. He also empowers and directs it, even to the point of leading churches to set aside missionaries (Acts 13:13) and directing missionaries as to where they should go (Acts 16:7). As they go it is...

In my mind I feel like acts is an important section of the Bible. It can teach you the miracles of the Holy Spirit and how if you have God next to you amazing things can happen. I love that they were so devoted to going to different synagogues to spread the teaching as we should. This is a book that can help us learn to follow Jesus Christ. In conclusion I have learned how to be better role model and teach the word of God without blinking.
