Entry #1: There once lived a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins. Bilbo lives in a hobbit-hole over a hill with other neighboring hobbits around his hole. One day he heard a knock on his door, he thought it would be another hobbit neighbor, but it was a wizard named Gandalf, he was tall with a long white beard, then Gandalf asked I am looking for a person to share my adventure with at once Bilibo thought to himself no but he said very politely said no thanks then shut the door. Then Gandalf marked on his door which was a party invention to hi dwarf friends to come at 8:00 that night. Then close to 8:00 he heard a knock at his door and it was 2 small dwarfs then they pushed in, …show more content…

They ate almost everything in the house, but the pickles and rum, then the dwarfs has asked is there any more food then Bilibo brought up all the ales and pickles that he had he had. Then when it got real dark they started to do about the business of how they will go this adventure together to go see the mountain that lay far away that holds uncountable gold, silver and gems and, most importantly the heart of the mountain the most beautiful thing in the world had ever seen. The tales said the mountain was heavily guarded by a dragon named Smaug since dragons could never die of age, smaug just slept inside the mountain around all of the gold. Bilbo insisted he shall not go, but they talked him into thinking about it so Bilbo slept on it and was told if he was, he would have to wake up early in the morning and meet him by the stables across the river. Bilbo fell asleep that night thinking about the offer the dwarves gave him that night, Bilibo thought about all of the precious jewels and gold and silver, then he woke up it was late morning and he heard a knock on the door, he opened it up and there stood Gandalf once again, then he asked are you coming Bilibo grabbed his pipe and tobacco for it and started off his journey towards the mountain when he got to the stables he saw all 12 dwarves standing there with horses and packs then he saw a tiny pony which …show more content…

They were woke to goblins taking them, but Gandalf picked a couple of them off with his staff and hid behind a rock till the goblins weren't looking then right before the crack closed Gandalf jumped into the crack. Then the Gandalf worked up his best magic and put out all of the torches because there was a Goblin King in the huge cave that one of the dwarves picked up a sword and stabbed the Great Goblin King then they couldn't see so they ran and found a passage that Bilibo got lost in so Bilbo got hit in the head by some goblins and dragged off into to the darkness of the passageway. When Bilbo woke he was dazed, he didn't know where he was or why he hurt so bad then Bilbo started to crawl around to find his bearings of where he was, then a bit later he found something cold it was a ring so he stuffed it in his pocket. Bilibo finally found a passageway, but he was too weak to crawl any further so he sat himself up on a rock and fell asleep for a bit then all of a sudden he woke up to a loud sound. Bilibo got up and investigate it moments later he started walking down the halls than running he ran for an hour before he finally gave up and sat down and thought about his home and why he ever left it. They left a piece of Bilbo's notebook paper on his mantle under a clock showing all the dangers he might encounter. Gandalf had come to tell him that he was going to be late if he did not leave soon to be with the dwarves, causing him to feel forced to go. In the movie, however, Bilbo Baggins is presented with a contract from the others involving his burglar services that he will use on the journey with them. He grabs a backpack before he runs out to catch up with the others. This makes the movie more realistic because no normal person would go on an adventure without grabbing anything for the long journey ahead. Bilbo now had a few items from his hobbit hole that would remind him of his home. The book shows Bilbo as more of a reluctant hero. In the book, Bilbo finds the letter on the mantle and decides to go at the last minute. He seems to have felt pressured, resulting in just running out of the hole and not grabbing any of his belongings. He leaves
