And finally the entertainment changed with a man named Harry Houdini. Harry Houdini was around for a while but from 1919-1926 he did silent movies like "the master mystery". Then from 1920-1926 he did magic and fortune telling. He got his stardom from shameless self-promotion & sincere commitment to the public good. Houdini finally died in 1926 October 31st.
Overall, Al Capone is one of the most infamous gangsters in American history. He built a massive empire on popular illegal activities of the 1920s. He fascinated the public until the horrendous murders became very public and the worst economic times of America set in. The mob age began to settle down. However, over 60 years later Capone’s legacy still lives and his crazy life is shown through movies.
He was born in New York 1925, although he does not have much information about his childhood there is plenty of information about his later life. Where he lived was called the “Coops” an apartment complex where everyone was willing helping others. In high school all Mazer did was read. He read in all his classes he wasn’t suppose to in and he told his teachers sorry he can’t stop reading. He often got in trouble because of his lack of concentration in his classes, but, he didn’t care so much. Even though Peter didn’t like any classes, but English and History he did compete in the Bronx High School of Science exam. Jobs were scarce at the time and nobody would hire Jewish people. This was bad for the Mazer family only his dad still had his job and they were gonna be on the streets if they don’t bring any kinda money in. Harry went out and used his knowledge from reading and made a great speech to the local grocery store. With that speech got him the job and they did not have to lose their apartment complex. He had many careers from being a writer to being in the air force. On his biography web page he has an honor page and he has been spotlighted all the way from the books he wrote to his service in the air force. I would list but there is too many. The author Susan Dominus shares about Daniel Radcliffe’s life in “Daniel Radcliffe’s Next Trick Is to Make Harry Potter Disappear”. Her intension meaning for the work published is to tell the reader of Daniel Radcliffe’s life. Daniel being Harry Potter an upstanding adventurous wizard in a series of movies, and how he wants his life to be normal again. Her writing is in a right-minded ethical writing style to persuade or to move the reader to feel how Daniel does. She fulfills her persuasion by illustrating his milestones in a parallel structure, displaying his feelings of being Mr. Harry Potter, and his wanting of breaking free of the name.

Fenstad says that he likes to teach because “he liked teaching strangers and because he enjoyed the sense of hope that classrooms held for him” (page 117). Harry seems to be a very distant person in that he likes to be around people who do not really know him. He would much rather be an observer than a very active participant. When he goes ice skating in the beginning of the story, there are a lot of people who are skating, but he can blend right in. He hs a few friends, but they are very similar to Fenstad. They like the same things and have the same attitudes about life. Fenstad does not want to seem to deviate from his own normal way of life.
Throughout Harry Houdini’s career and life, he had many different accomplishments that made him one of the greatest magicians in history. I felt that making a magazine was the best option to portray Houdini. With the magazine I was able to talk about everything that occurred in his life, career, and after his death. In the magazine I talked about his unexpected death, road to fame, magic career, after death experiences, and other magicians. All of these experiences help Houdini become the man he was.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle writes a short story about how innocence gets victimized by a royal subject. When a royal figure clashes with someone who is not equal in social class, he will do anything to hide his mistake. This is when the King hires Sherlock Holmes. Arthur Conan Doyle based Holmes off of a man named Dr. Joseph Bell, who was a friend of his in medical school. When Doyle saw that medical practice was not a success, he began writing Holmes stories for money. The public became infatuated with not only the stories, but mainly Sherlock Holmes. When Doyle wanted to write in more respectable genres (Duncan 3), he made one enormous mistake.
When I first heard the name Sherlock Holmes I honestly thought of a weird plain identity, simply boring. Boy, was I wrong about that. But seriously when you actually hear a name like that wouldn’t that be your first guess especially when you see the cover of some weird British looking guy in the front cover. It’s not until you actually start watching it where you realize it’s pretty freaking awesome. Well at least it was for me (LOL).
The Tragic History of Doctor Faustus is known as one of the many books to display a popular understanding of the evolution of modern Western Science. The story is about a medieval doctor who sells his soul to the devil in exchange for knowledge and power. However, he starts to fear hell as his motive to repent for his wrongdoings haunts him. This story takes place in Europe during the 16th century, which was when major changes in philosophy and science occurred. Unfortunately, this was also when conflict between Medieval and Renaissance values occurred. People who held values from the Medieval era strongly believed in God and religion while those with Renaissance values focused on science and the natural world. This conflict is
