The key points for Apple is being sentimental friendly, they focus on the environmental footprints and renewing energy. The first key point I will discuss is environmental footprints. They are able to measure this by using a comprehensive life cycle analysis. To decrease the amount of carbon footprint they use less materials, ship with smaller packaging, not having plenty of toxic substances, and be as energy efficient and recyclable as possible.
The second key point for Apple is renewable energy their goal was to achieve 100 percent of renewable energy which they have accomplished. In their data center in Maiden, North Carolina they have several approaches of energy efficient element designs. Two of their energy efficient designs were a chi...

Apple, Inc. was established in January of 1977 by its founders Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. The company is one the largest and most innovative information technology company today. Apple, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets media devices, personal computers and portable digital music players. It sells related software, services, networking solutions and third-party digital content. Apple started out making personal computers such Apple II, Macintosh and Power Mac. The sales for the personal computers were unsuccessful due to the high price, well above the average American’s disposable income. Additionally, the computers did not have enough memory for businesses to use them. During this time, Steve Jobs’ vision for the company was not the same as the board of directors and Jobs left in 1985. A decade later, Jobs returned to the organization and started to work towards saving the company from bankruptcy. Through his efforts, Jobs found himself as CEO of Apple.
Innovation in apple sets high standards that make it difficult for other companies to compete with them. Throughout the recent years Apple has been showing a non-stop development in its innovation strategies, those innovation strategies involve remarkable new products and innovative business models. Apple has been continuously succeeding in providing consumers with what the senior engineering manager in apple Michael Lopp describes as “really good ideas wrapped in really good ideas” and by Looking at apple’s sales since it started releasing its unique products we see that it strongly agrees with this description. Apple’s innovation-friendly ecosystem focuses on manufacturing its own hardware rather than just buying it, and that is one of the most important features that made them who they are today in the market.
General Purpose: To give an overview of the company that is Apple Inc. and how it revolutionized our lives in the present times.
Apple was introduced by Steve Jobs, entrepreneur, marketer, inventor, and technological guru, whom in the early 80’s, sold his van to help invest in his company that started in his garage. Steve built his first computer to distribute to the masses in 1984 called the classic 1984, which seems quite laughable today because of technological advancements that have occurred since then. Steve’s philosophy was to build computers so that consumers could easily navigate around using the easiest computer to use and maintain. Since the 80’s Steve has built tough, high-tech versions of many different kinds of computers advancing with technology throughout the years. Steve also incorporated many new gadgets alongside the Macintosh computer such as the iPad, iPhone, iPod, and a music website called iTunes. Today there are more than 326 stores open to the public around the world.
Do you know how Apple was created? Do you really or do you just think you do? Apple or Mac is the same company. It was created by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. Steve Jobs handled the marketing and Steve Wozniak managed the technical part. In 1976, Steve Wozniak showed Steve Jobs the product that was called Apple 1, it was a revolutionary product that Steve Wozniak only wanted to sell to the computer experts (programmers) and the government. But then Steve Jobs convinced Steve Wozniak to go and sell it to Intel. This is why today Apple is using intel. This was the birth of Apple computer. Then, when they created Apple 2, they made it a little bit more advanced and they doubled most of the specifications. Apple had a long history with multiple designs, there were different logos, different computer designs and even had Inspirations.
In 1986 Apple introduced its Mac Plus and LaserWriter printers. Shortly after, Apple formed the software company that later became Claris. By the 1980s Microsoft brought new competition with the Windows operating system (OS) which was similar to Apple’s graphical interface. Apple sued Microsoft but lost its claim due to the 1992 copyright protection.
Apple Computer is a technology and consumer electronics company based in Palo Alto, California that was founded on April 1st, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. In terms of revenue, Apple is the second largest technology company worldwide. Amongst other accolades Apple was named the most valuable brand in 2013 and the most admired brand in 2008. Apple thrives by making all of their products work seamlessly together and providing top notch customer support that is notably almost completely based in America and Canada.
In almost every part of the world Apple and at least one of their products is known. The Apple brand started in the 1970s. Three men founded the organization in 1976, to produce a computer that every citizen could use personally (Sohail, 2010). The first item released was the Apple 1 personal computer kit made by Steve Wozniak (Sohail, 2010). Through the 70s, Apple concentrated on developing storing technologies such as the floppy disk and the use of color, graphics, and spreadsheets used for business (Sohail, 2010). Apple was about to have their first major product release with a million dollar ad campaign. This was the release of the Macintosh personal computer, which also led to Apple’s great reputation (Sohail, 2010).
The company not only produces the number of highly technological devices, but also has a great brand ideology lying behind. The following chapters would review each of factors determining Apple`s success.
Let’s take a trip back in time and review the evolution of a computer company. It’s not IBM or Microsoft. This company is Apple Computers, Incorporated. In the year 1976, before most people even thought about buying a computer for their homes. Back then the computer community was only a few nerds building simple computers from hobby kits. When Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs sold a van and two programmable calculators for thirteen hundred dollars and started Apple Computers, Inc., in Jobs garage, the reach for success seemed far.
First, I will tell you about how the build of the Macintosh computer is a big reason of the rapid growth of Macs. In 2007, 2008, and 2009, Apple’s Macbook, Macbook Pro, and I-Mac (their top 3 selling computers) have all received EPEAT Gold medals. EPEAT is a company based on trying to make the electronic world greener. A gold medal from EPEAT means that the computer met all 23 of the required criteria and at least 75% of the optional criteria. Some examples of the criteria are: making it fully Arsenic-free, BFR-free, and Mercury-free, having fully PVC free cables and hard drive systems, and increasing the recyclability of the product and packaging. In October 2008, Apple rebuilt the Macbook and Macbook Pro. And they rebuilt it using 50% less structural parts. They also completely redesigned the battery, giving it up to 10 hours of battery on a single charge. The way the new battery is designed, gives the entire computer as a whole, a new lifespan of up to 5 years. Compare that to the average PC’s battery life of 1-2 hours and full lifespan of 2 years and the old Macbook’s battery life of 4-5 hours and a full lifespan of 3 years. And all Macintosh computers use LED backlit disp...

In 500 B.C. the abacus was first used by the Babylonians as an aid to simple arithmetic. In 1623 Wihelm Schickard (1592 - 1635) invented a "Calculating Clock". This mechanical machine could add and subtract up to 6 digit numbers, and warned of an overflow by ringing a bell. J. H. Mueller comes up with the idea of the "difference engine", in 1786. This calculator could tabulate values of a polynomial. Muellers attempt to raise funds fails and the project was forgotten. Scheutz and his son Edward produced a 3rd order difference engine with a printer in 1843 and their government agreed to fund their next project.
