It all Comes from a Faulty High School System
High school is one of the most important stages in the development of an individual. It is the first step of social and professional advancement. In high school we learn the necessary skills to succeed academically .The US, like in the rest of the world, treat high schools as an essential part of a students formation. The question is whether American high schools are able to keep up with an unwritten international standard for secondary education. High schools in the united states have three major problems. First, they tend to be places for social gathering rather than learning habitats for students. Another problem regards the low emphasis that is placed on the learning of the sciences and finally standardized testing questions how much meaningful learning takes place in the classroom. ...y following the solutions to the three main problems which include: the low emphasis placed on the sciences, the faults in standardized testing and the lack of balance that students have between school fun. Many individuals will criticize this way of viewing high school and say that it is irrelevant because American students that are product of the current high school system end up being great engineers, doctors and biologists. This way of thinking lacks basic logic and addresses the community of high school students in general. It is true that American student end up being engineers and doctors but only the best of them, the ones who find school to be a challenging place where they can express their talent, opinion, and beliefs. The rest will join the group of “normal” people. This categorization is wrong and guess what? It all comes from a faulty high school system.

- After going through high school and now being in college, I have realized that high school can be sort of a joke because it often does not fill its mission.
