HIgh school vs College
Have you ever went into a place having a set mindset on how it 's going to be? Then your mind changes. That 's what happen to me when I went into college. When you complete senior year the anxiety of college sinks in. Well I went into college thinking that it was going to awful because of what people said. A Lot of people made it seem scary like it was impossible and so hard. So I went Into college with a negative mind set and didn 't want to be there. After all the atmosphere of Saint Louis Community College is so shockingly different than Ladue High School.
Saint Louis Community College has alot more freedom than Ladue. With STLCC the teachers are laid back. They are better teachers and their is not alot of one on one help unless you need it. With Ladue the teachers they have a more of a personal bond with each student. Ladue the teachers worry if their students miss class and check in with the student to see why the miss. At STLCC the teachers don 't care if you miss and they do not follow up because you are paying for your education. At STLCC you get the freedom to drive yourself to school. At Ladue you would have to take the bus, that means waking up earlier and a longer route. With STLCC and driving yourself you have more freedom to leave and also you don 't have to be on a bus with annoying freshman as a senior. With driving self you have the freedom to leave your books in your car instead of carrying them everywhere. With STLCC you are allowed to have lunch outside and take your breaks outside. With Ladue you were not allowed to eat outside and you had to eat inside. With ladue you had no freedom you could only eat and take your breaks in the hallways or in the crowded cafeteria. Then people w...

...'s almost as if you get a fresh start there are so many people in college if something happens it stays in a small group. As for Ladue everyone knew everybody so the new spread fast of what happened. At stlcc even if you have a problem there are still so many people you can make friends with. Also the Class sizes are different at stlcc they have lecture halls and its stadium seating and there can be up to like seventy students in one class. At Ladue you were lucky if you had a class of twenty students.
In conclusion stlcc is so drastically different it the atmosphere because of the freedom, structure and class size. There is so much more freedom, a laid back structure and more people at stlcc than at ladue. Even though you might have anxiety about a situation. Make sure you go into every situation open minded because you never know how the situation really is.

College Tuition And High School Essay

- It is unbelievable that just forty years ago college tuition had been in the triple digits. Currently, the average cost of tuition at an in-state public college is nearly $10,000; moreover, private college tuition exceeds $30,000. These institutions are raising their price in order to pay for the best professors, athletics, and extra amenities. Because of the soaring price tag of higher education, less people are applying to four year institutions, graduates are drowning in debt, and families’ futures are unstable....   [tags: Higher education, College, High school]

Essay about Difference Between College And High School

- University, to me, is a totally different concept from high school, where teachers, expert in their specific field, would introduce you to the beauty of it. Yet, after my two-and-half-year college life, I gradually come to realize that although professors at college are good at teaching, the most important thing I have learned is to learn by oneself. You may probably say that it sounds a little self-contradictory. In fact, it is. But, as for me, it is also the truth. Here is the reason why I believe so....   [tags: High school, College, Secondary school]

My Plans For College At High School Essay

- From the moment I entered high school people were asking me my plans for college. This question of “What college are you going to?” began to loom above my head like a giant storm cloud. Freshman year I had no idea, and the same for sophomore year. The only thing I new at that moment in time was that I wanted to play softball. The beginning of my junior year was when I began to actively seek out specific colleges, and by the end of my junior year I knew exactly what college I wanted to attend. Through the long process of choosing a college I learned that there are three things that should be thought about: will you be happy and succeed, the colleges location, and does it have your major....   [tags: High school, College, Secondary school, Thought]

Essay on College And High School Are Two Different Animals

- College and high school are two different animals. As the end of my first semester at EIU comes to a close, it has clearly been a much different experience than my high school experience. Going off to college, I expected it to be a little different than high school just because I was going to be living on my own, and I would have the sole responsibility of taking care of myself. The realization came rather quickly that there are differences between the two. College is expensive, the undergrad workload has increased compared to the last four years, and being involved in college athletics also adds a new dimension to my schedule....   [tags: High school, College, Secondary school]
