The high school that I graduated from had an extremely diverse student population because the two middle schools that feed into it are opposites. The school that I was raised in had unusually high parental involvement. We had too many chaperones on field trips, every student had at least one family member at every holiday party, and seating would be completely full at any performance or sporting event. The other middle school had a handful of parents that were involved and they ended up taking on more they could handle because the lack of parental involvement at the school as a whole. It was hard for me to wrap my mind around how two school in the same town, about ten minutes away from each other could be so completely different. How could one school gain nearly too much parental support while the other school was severally lacking. ... managing the household, and accomplishing the responsibilities in their life, but they cannot put their children’s education on the back burner. In 1 Corinthians 10:31 Paul says, “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” This verse doesn’t mean you only have to work hard in the classroom, or on the sporting field, or in the work force. This means you need to be the best person you can and give 100% effort in everything you do. This includes parenting. God wants you to be the best parent you can be even if you do not have much time to spend with them, so the investment parents put in their kids and the educational encouragement they provide will not only make an impact on them currently in school, but also later on in life. Also, parents are obeying God’s Word when they being the best parent they can possibly be at all times.
