High school is thought to be the greatest four years of your life. Some people choose to waste the years away; without having fun or having opportunities to grow. High school is a key time to learn who you are as a person or whom you aspire to become. I’ve learned how to be a leader, how to eliminate procrastination, and many other life lessons. Through many lessons and tough decisions students grow and are taught key factors of life.

They follow in the footsteps of others, but as people graduate, new people need to step forward. I was able to become a leader through the Southview marching band. I was given the opportunity to lead seven other individuals through the marching and concert band seasons. This taught me that if someone works hard enough on their skills, they can too be seen as a leader. All it takes is a little bit of extra effort. Being a leader is about being able to teach others and setting a good exampl...

- High school is suppose to be a very interesting time for some teens, as it is said to be the best four years of your life. You meet new friends, learn more about your studies, and learn how life will really be like for you after it has ended. High school is also a place where it teaches teens’s how to grow up, and be an adult. - It Will Be the Best Four Years of Your Life…Or Will It.             “College is fun as long as you don’t die” (Tsugumi Ohba). Each year millions of young adults are faced with the decision to attend higher education or go straight into the work force. These young adults are being influenced by their parents, teachers and peers on this major life decision. Analysis Of ' Two Years Are Better Than Four ' Essay

- Because universities are extending the number of applicants they are accepting, a lot of people question whether community colleges still matter. Personally, I share Liz Addison, for¬¬¬mer Southern Maine Community College student and graduate of Royal Veterinary College in London, opinion that appears in her essay “Two Years Are Better than Four” published in 2007. In her essay, even though Addison rebuts Rick Perlstein’s perspective that community colleges no longer matter as they once did, explains the philosophy of community college, and recounts her college experience, she mostly focus on proving her opinion, stated in the last paragraph of the essay, that “college does still matter”(258...   [tags: Higher education, High school, College]

Highschool Is The Best Four Years Of A Person 's Life Essay example

- To say that highschool is the best four years of a person 's life would be a gross overgeneralization. For some people, the friendships and experiences you gain throughout your high school career are amazing, but in my experience, high school was something I dreaded. I never felt like I fit in. I wasn’t good at sports, I wasn’t popular, and I hadn’t yet discovered any remarkable talents. For the most part, my freshman year of high school was just about getting by and staying under the radar. When you go to school with the people I did, never feeling good enough is an expected response, having to deal with social anxiety and depression didn’t help....   [tags: High school, College, Coming out, LGBT]

Graduation Speech : High School

- Every year as my respectable upperclassmen seniors went out on their new and great adventures, leaving me to my few more years of high school, I never truly believed them when they would share remarks such as, ¨Enjoy it while you can,¨ or, ¨It goes by in the blink of an eye.¨ At the time of being a meager freshman or awkward sophomore, you do not think much of high school, other than it is high school. One quick blink of my eye and I can not believe that my time here at Evanston High School is winding to an end....   [tags: High school, Educational years, Sophomore]

Graduation Speech : High School

- Even though I graduated High School, I struggled all four years due to the lack of interest in school. Two of the challenges that I faced were not studying and not doing the homework on time. I disliked feeling dumb so I never asked the teacher questions. Instead of asking, I went to Google and copied down the answers word for word. I should have realized everyone has their own unique way of thinking, and that I was capable of thinking my own thoughts. As my ninth grade year begun, I was beyond thrilled because I was now known as a freshman of McGehee High School....   [tags: High school, Educational years, Tenth grade]

High School : High Standards Essay

- High School = High Standards High school “Best years of your life”, “Your friends forever”, “you need to make friends”, “sports are for the popular people”. The worst thing to do in high school is to force yourself to fit in. One’s wants and needs vary from person to person. So just because there is a bigger group that enjoys the opposite of one doesn’t mean that you should conform just to have friends....   [tags: High school, High School Musical, College]
