First opinion
I decided to read this book because a few people I know told me that is was a very nice book to read. I do not know a lot about English books so I trusted them.
I really liked High Fidelity. It is a story about a man called Robert. He tells you about the relationships he had with women. He tells you about his first girlfriend, about the ones that put him aside because of another boy, about the ones he still likes and about the relationship he is having now.
High Fidelity an easy book to read because the language that is used is not very difficult. I also liked the book because it never bored me. Something's always happening.

-Summary
The story starts when Robert begins to tell us about his ex-girlfriends. Robert is a man and about 30 years old. He owns a record shop called Championship Vinyl. The shop is not running very well but Robert earns just enough money to keep the shop open. Two other men work at his shop. They are Robert's friends but they are not very important to the story.
When Robert finished telling about the past a new chapter starts called Now.
Laura, Robert's girlfriend, is about to leave him. Laura is a woman from Robert's age and she lives together with Robert in a apartment. The relationship between Robert and Laura is not very well at the moment and Laura falls in love with another man, the neighbour. Lauras new boyfriend has just moved to another house and she is going to live there too.
After Laura left Robert, Robert does not feel very good. At his shop he does not talk a lot and he cannot stop thinking about Laura. He starts calling her daily. Laura gets the creeps of Robert and tells him to call the police if he does not stop.
Then, at a night when Robert is drinking a beer with his friends at the local pub he sees Marie. She is a woman from New York and she sings songs at the pub. Robert thinks she is a good singer and buys a tape with her songs on it.
This book was a good read for me, but I also read book reviews to help me keep track on what I am reading. These book reviews just made a better understanding of what I was reading.
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...
There are several things that I like about this book. First off, I love historical fiction, and this is the genre of this book. Also, despite the author being too descriptive, the book went at a steady pace. For me, pace usually determines whether I will read the book or not, and I never really hesitated, or thought about changing books.
Both book and movie capture good moments and ideas of Esquivel. I would say the book was more entertaining and memorable for me. The novel never rests or drags on, and although it evolves around many tragedies a dying love and lovers, in the end you truly feel happy for the way things turn to be. So does the movie, the end of it is very powerful, I might have not got attached to its characters but I fell in love with the magical fairy tale and romance of Like Water For Chocolate.
Edna and Robert are at the beach enjoying each others company at first. They quickly return to the cottage where Leonce is and he talks to them. They have had a good time down by the water and Leonce, being the proper business like man that he is does not understand why Robert would rather spend his time chatting with his wife than attending to other things. It is obvious to the reader that Edna and Robert have a connection and are amused with what the other has to say. Leonce shrugs this off as nothing and leaves for the hotel where many of the men chat and drink in the evenings. Edna and Robert talk some more and eventually part. These are the first signs of something special between them.
Continuing, Laura betrayals love in her life, by rejecting all men who intend to reach for her heart. “B...

After dinner the husband continues to test Robert and ask him if he would like some marijuana. The narrator is surprised when Robert accepts his offer to smoke. His first smoke was a little awkward because the narrator had to explain to Robert how to smoke it. After a couple puffs, the narrator is impressed on how well Robert smoked the marijuana. This is when the husband starts to see Robert as a person and not a blind man; he is starting to relate to Robert a little bit.
This is my personal reflection about this book. First and foremost, I would like to say that this book is very thick and long to read. There are about nineteen chapters and 278 pages altogether. As a slow reader, it is a quite hard for me to finish reading it within time. It took me weeks to finish reading it as a whole. Furthermore, it is written in English version. My English is just in average so sometimes I need to refer to dictionary for certain words. Sometimes I use google translate and ask my friends to explain the meaning of certain terms.
It’s late Friday night, Rachel has just finished grading papers. She leaves the school and heads for Phillies, knowing Jacob will meet her there she stops to give a homeless man some change. Little does she know, he has shed his dirty coat to reveal a beautiful suit and is wiping the grime off of his face. He wants that girl’s watch so bad he can taste it. She walks into the cafe and sits at an empty seat. The man waits a few minutes before placing a hat on his head, walking inside, and sitting as far away from the girl as possible. It’s just a matter of time.
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.
The book I liked the best was The Catcher And The Rye. The characteristics that made me feel this way about the book were, that it was less bland than other books with the insight inside his head made it a lot more interesting.
In Laura's new life, she works at a library and starts to date again. As Sara, she is able to enjoy life and be free. Sara rebuilds her self-esteem, is able to spend more time with her mother, and can relax without being afraid of whether the shelves in the kitchen will meet her husband's standards. The escape seemed foolproof, until Martin found a piece of evidence that proves Laura is still alive. (Laura had thrown her wedding ring in the toilet and Martin finally sees it.) After weeks of searching, Martin is able to hunt down his wife. He feels that if he cannot have her, then no one will. Sara does not want to return to the terrible oppressive lifestyle she was trapped in before. Instead of giving up her new life, she shoots the "intruder" in her house and puts an end to her husband's reign of terror over her....
I personally liked the novel "Kim". The reason I liked the novel is because I love adventure stories. The story line of "Kim" was very exciting and kept me in suspense.
The movie I chose was very interesting and very entertaining. This movie was about chess—a game about smarts and staying a step ahead of your opponent—Life of a King. This movie is slightly predictable, but intriguing. It is based on the true story about an ex con artist Eugene Brown who turned into a youth mentor for a bad school. The drama throughout this story was very intriguing however it was predictable. Intense to a certain extent, the movie hits all of the notes that will be told for the background information of Eugene while also inspiring young adults. Brown 's story is very attention grabbing while he gives such a solid performances.
