The decoy was set in motion.
On Mazen's mind was to leave this city, and hit the road to Baghdad. The Driver had a long road ahead. With Yasin texting at his side, the Minister visible over his shoulder, and the high school kids and Ambassador's family cramped in the last rows. He just wanted to be home. Back in Baghdad. Where he felt safe. Like most of the hired crew, the city of Babel gave Mazen an leery jibe. Just a few more turns, and they would be on the highway home.
As the delegation's caravan reached the main thoroughfare of Babel, a boy peddling at a high speed, raced into the crowded intersection. The boy's bicycle hit the passenger's front tire, which caused the boy to tumble up-and-over the hood of a car, then the boy's body slid unto the ground.
The incident created a series of vehicles to crashing one into another, hence blocking the road.
The nearby villagers darted around the wounded boy, which only swelled in increasing the barricade. The scene became chaotic with verbal accusations while the boy wailed from his injuries.
Who was at fault?
He should have seen where he was going?
Look he's crying.
Mazen radioed the second driver what had happened, when a young male pedestrian tapped at Mazen's side window. The pedestrian pointed to an isolated alleyway. Mazen looked towards the direction and noticed a one-way sign on the corner, then with a shrug Mazen maneuvered the van towards the roofline shaded alley.
Yasin spoke to Mazen, "I hope you know what you doing? My friend."
"Yes. And I have been driving longer than years of your life," Mazen said to squelch the new boss.
Yasin simply rolled his eyes without comment. His brother's plan was simple. They have done it a few times before, but never with person of su...

The second finger moved.
Giselle, seated in the middle of the second row, looked backwards hoping to catch a glance of Daniel in the second vehicle. Instead Giselle saw the anxiety of Skylar, which now had a ripple affect in the last two rows. When Giselle finally saw the second van, it trailed at a distance.
The last finger made the command.
The bomb Expert thumbs hesitated to push the trigger on cell phone until the right moment. Immediately, the Militia team Leader heard the sound of the first van careening at a high speed in the alleyway three flights below them.
The team Leader looked in bewilderment. The first van passed the blast point. It must happen now.
The Leader pressed his hand on the Expert's thumbs igniting the bomb as he shielded his Expert with his upper body from the debris.
This blast would forever change all their lives.
The IC decided that the first thing that needed to be done was to contain the fire and get it extinguished as soon as possible. Then the IC divided the situation into three primary sections Tower 1, Tower 2 and the Vista Hotel. The bomb had detonated right below the Vista Hotel and thick black smoke was quickly filling the two towers. He then c...
After some time driving around, they eventually decided to drive past Timothy Smith’s house but were stopped by a roadblock that had been set up by police. When someone from the car asked an officer if a traffic accident was causing the delay the officer responded by saying there had been a “people accident,” Frida Smith said.
I blocked in the vehicle in order to prevent the driver from leaving the area pending further investigation.
His mouth spread open slowly and his chest rose as he breathed in a deep, lazy yawn. He stretched his thin arms high above him, and smiled as he felt his muscles tense. He fisted his hands and rubbed them over his eyes to help unglue his lids stuck shut. His eyes received handfuls of dirt and the boy blinked wildly to cleanse them out.
I looked in my mirror and breathed a sigh of relief: the patrol car turned and crossed the median strip and proceeded in the opposite direction, lights flashing. I put my van in gear and slowly continued on my way.

For roughly two months before to the bombing, the plotters had gathered the materials they needed to create this explosive device. Living in New Jersey, the terrorists had rented a storage space where they staged an area to build the device and then loaded the bomb into a rented van...

“August 2000, our family of six was on the way to a wedding. It was a rainy day, and Gregg was not familiar with the area. The car hit standing water in the high-way, and started hydro-planing. Greg lost control of the car. Then, the car went backwards down into a ditch and started sliding on its wheels sideways. After sliding for 100 feet or so, the car flipped, at least once. After flipping, the car came to rest on its wheels, and the passenger window broke out.
Car accidents pose as the second most noticeable inconvenience for commuters in Miami. In many occasions traffic accidents cause a hold-up of traffic. Take for example, the oil taker explosion on I-95 on November 6, 2006. A massive tanker truck, carrying loads of fuel, flipped over the highway over pass and onto NW 135 Street, a street that runs through one of the busiest commercial areas. The accident occurred on a Monday morning, while the rest of Miami was commuting to work.
Commonly, vehicular collisions are considered a negative occurrence. Dave Eggers hints towards this mindset in his short story Accident. Plotted in the middle of an intersection in 2005, the story commences with the main character driving his automobile through the intersection and striking an older Camaro. The three teenagers in the Camaro are fine, but the main character notices all the damage he has done to their vehicle and he fears an unpleasant encounter with them. Dave Eggers uses irony throughout the situation to illustrate the main character’s relief. The characters’ involvement with the collision emphasizes Egger’s theme that no matter how unfortunate an incident, positivity can result.
In society, any accidents are perceived as negative outcomes illustrate a terrible ending that has taken place but in reality it can be perceived as something positive in the long run. By obstructing the 2005 Camaro and the three teens, it occurred that no one was injured and everything was calm. Accident by Dave Egger represents how a bad decision becomes a point of conflict and symbolism within the theme of the story.
lane closures and distractions to motorists. A motorist is driving the speed limit and then immediately has to slam on their brakes because another motorist sees the lane closures and decides to cut in front of them. This type of driving makes motorists mad because they know tha...
Quick to react, one girl steps forward from the crowd and takes control of the situation. Preventing Al from further injury by grabbing both sides of his head, the brave young senior moves with the seizing boy, fighting to hold him steady. She does not cry nor do anything but instruct a teacher to “YES, call an ambulance.” Al thrashes, not breathing, upon the white speckled linoleum.
Thomas angrily tried to put his foot on the break. The cars honked and swerved out of the way. Thomas got his foot on the beak and swerved hard but it was too late. A semi-truck rammed into their back tier. The car was launched to the curb and flipped over the wall. They were falling and falling fast. The car rolled so many times it made them sick. They fell for what seemed like forever. Rolling, rolling, and rolling. Falling fast, faster than anything. Thomas sees the ground AND.
