I am a physician from Bangladesh and completed my Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Comilla Medical College, Comilla (Chittagong University). I have completed my Internship from Sylhet M.A.G. Osmani Medical College, Sylhet, Bangladesh.

I am interested to work on reproductive health, child health, infectious diseases environmental health, epidemiology and biostatistics.

I am from a developing country, Bangladesh. This is one of the densely populated countries where most of the people suffer from various diseases many of them are unfamiliar to the healthier life-style and preventable . As I studied Medicine, during that period I was exposed to the sick people. When I was a student of Comilla Medical College, I worked in the hospital and saw many people suffering from different infectious diseases and most of the diseases were preventable by adopting a healthier lifestyle, taking precautions against infections and early care-seeking during sickness. These people were illiterate, poor and do not know what to do when they will get sick so they suffer most even died or come to the health facilities at the terminal stage. When I was working as an intern at Sylhet M.A.G Osmani Medical College, I noticed this problem is very severe there. Health conditions were worst in Sylhet division. The literacy rate of this region is still low and many of them are superstitious and do not take the health problems seriously, so health problems are increasing day by day. I always wanted to do something by which I can help not only one or two persons but a total society or country. I think Public Health is the field where I can help these people and bring solutions for different health problems.

I also worked under the guidance of Dr. Rashed Shah, Advisor, Save the Children-USA as a nonpaid volunteer to help preparing field study proposal and documenting of the study reports and I learned a lot on preparing manuscript for peer-reviewed journal publication and some basic statistical analysis using stata.

I believe that graduate study at your MPH program will be the most logical extension of my academic pursuits and a major step towards achieving my objectives. It is my dream to serve the people all over the world through Public Health. If you consider me at your MPH program I will excel at your program with sincerity, commitment and passion.
