Many people are not aware of what professionals are responsible for in the fields of Management Information Systems and Health Care Information Systems or what well-paying jobs are available in those fields. Some people know a small of information about them but do nor do they understand why someone would want to major in these fields. This information obtained research of these fields will help the reader become more familiar help you become more familiar with what they are, what they do, the career choices they can provide, and how these fields is very dominate in today’s job market.
Management information systems, also known as MIS, are computer systems that direct business and organize operations or files. Many people wonder why someone would want to major in Management information systems. They are becoming extremely popular in today’s businesses and offices. Management information systems are a combination of both business and computing. It takes on the role that a human does by replacing a human with a computer. Jobs that need to be done can be done at faster rate and in a more organized manner. MIS can perform a variety of functions for a business. Some of the major functions include: controlling documents, procedures that need to be done, covering the applications of people, producing status reports, and producing performance reports. Management information systems usually provide a large amount of output through either text or graphical form. They are costly but can help a business or any other place that decides to use one. There are many different career paths that one can choose when majoring in Management information systems. Some of these careers are: Manage Analyst, Systems Analyst, Consultant, Technical Support...
