Size, age, or ethnicity doesn’t matter when you look at the overall health benefits of physical activity or exercise. The statistics supporting the need to exercise are profound. “Only one in three children are physically active every day. Children now spend more than seven and one-half hours per day in front of a TV, playing video games, or using a computer. People don’t just have time to exercise—they make time to exercise. Be in control of your life. Just remember our friend Pooh Bear when he said,” A bear, however hard he tries, grow tubby without exercise (Milne).” The benefits of regular exercise, besides helping to manage weight, lowers the risk of chronic diseases, improves your mood and contributes to social activities. “Typically, people who exercise, start eating better and become more productive at work. They smoke less and show more patience with colleagues and family. They use their credit cards less frequently and say they feel less stressed. Exercise is a keystone habit that triggers widespread change (Duhigg).” Make exercise a part of your day, every day!
