Dr. Mark Ravensdale was a tall man on the hefty side with a rather horrible fashion sense. Left to his own devices, he would wear khaki shorts, a button up, and a tie with sneakers. His wife was generally okay with that, except when her husband had his fake appointments. Then, she would dress him up in a suit and tie with classy shoes.
When Dr. Ravensdale made a house call, she would make sure to send him with a plastic body suit so he wouldn't get blood on his clothing and also so that he wouldn't leave much evidence behind when he gutted his patient and stripped the meat off them.
Of course, none of his patients knew his real name. They each knew him by a different name, but the patient he was seeing tonight, Mary, knew him as Dr. Ian Walker.
He kissed his wife goodbye after she made sure he had everything with him and walked out the door with an oddly thick briefcase. Dr. Walker hailed a cab and had the driver bring him to a store a couple of blocks from Mary's flat. He went in and bought a couple of seasonings for appearances sake and because his wife had mentioned they were running low on them. Then, he made his way to Mary's flat, humming a pleasant tune.
He wasn't aware that Mary was babysitting at her friend’s house for the night. He rang the buzzer with his gloved finger and waited, looking around casually.
It had been ten days since Mary had murdered her father. It was planned, but at the same one it was so sudden. Mane knew how she wanted to kill him and she was sure eventually she would.
Dr. Walker was helping her gain confidence and with the friendship she'd made with John at the surgery, she was starting to believe she could stand up and defend herself.
It was one unfortunate night when she'd heard that he had...

“There we go, champ.” He smiled as the little boy started to eat and paced around the room with him.
It didn’t take too long for the boy to finish eating. He yawned when he was done and burped easily at the patting on his back. Dr. Walker set the blood covered baby down. “Goodnight, little one.”
Dr. Walker left the infant in his room and went to the bathroom to rinse off the blood covering his plastic suit in the shower. He headed back into the living room when he was done, a large smile on his face
He grabbed his things and changed out of the suit in the hallway, where there wasn’t any carnage. The scene he left behind him was a woman in a beautiful position, body empty of organs that were strewn around the room, and muscles stripped to the bone in some places.
Dr. Walker left, still smiling, with his briefcase full of pieces of Mary.
motivated to kill the Tutsis. There were reasons, of long standing hatred toward Tutsis, fear of authority and repercussion, economic and many other motivating factors. In the book, Machete Season: The Killers in Rwanda Speak, Jean Hatzfeld explores these many reasons for genocide through interviews with killers. Even though were many motivating factors for the Rwandan genocide, the main motivation for the perpetrators were for economic reasons. The main reason the Hutus killed Tutsis in the Rwandan genocide
an unidentified serial killer widely known as Jack the Ripper. Canonically, the murders consist of brutal attacks against at least five women (Cook). These murders were committed against women that resided in Whitechapel distract which was notoriously known for its poverty and socially disadvantaged. The sheer brutality of the murders and the sensationalized media surrounding the cases brought unparalleled attention to London’s impoverished population. And yet, the killer was never caught and there
SOUTHERN RESIDENT KILLER WHALE An English naturalist Charles Darwin (1802-1882) developed a theory of biological evolution. He studied variation in plants and animals during his five years’ voyage around the world in the 19th century. Darwin studied hundreds of species, which he researches variations between locations. His theory states that all species of organism arise and develop through natural selection. Natural selection is the process of organisms that adapt to their surrounding environment
can live to be fifteen. "The red pandas young stay inside the nest for about 90 days, they stay close to their mothers until the next mating season begins and they reach adult size at about 12 months(national zoo)." Habitat destruction is the main killer of red pandas today. There are 6 habitat destruction processes. One process is cash cropping. Over the past few years cash cropping has made a lust for more land so many people have been cutting down forests and using it for farmland. Next of the
glands that are found within the hop itself produce alpha acids that give beer its distinct bitter flavor. Although the majority of hops produced are used in beer and alcoholic beverages, hops are also useful as cures to diseases as well as pain killers in today’s society. The health benefits of hops can be extracted through the consumption of beer, however; using the hop plant by itself gives you a better outcome of its health benefits. Native to what is now modern day Europe, the earliest discovery

In an age when man has forgotten his origins and is blind even to his most essential needs for survival, water along with other resources has become the victim of his indifference. South Africa, one of the most advanced countries in Africa, with a thriving economy based on technology and agriculture, is currently facing a downward slope in terms of water availability. It was newly testified that South Africa, with half the comprehensive average rainfall, will run out of water as soon as 2015. Experts
marine mammals. During the Second World War, whaling of great whales was at its peak. These whales were used for oils for lubricants, food, and other needs of the people of the United States. However, this heavy use of great whale stocks forced killer whales (Orcinus orca) to begin feeding on smaller marine mammals, such as seals, sea lions, and sea otters (Trites et al., 2006). It is also thought that declines in these smaller marine mammals is due to a decline in nutritional limits in their
culture of shark finning, impacts, laws and regulations, and the conservation movements. Our most pressing goal in this is to educate and inform those who lack the knowledge or resources to make informed decisions on what can be conceived as too much harvesting of a 2 resource whether that resource is an abundant blade of grass or a 400 million old species that the entire aquatic ecosystem hangs on the balance of. The history and culture of shark fins is arguably the most logical explanation as to why
herded into a circle by a plane and a group of “hunters” shot at them from said plane. Once the firing was over, Mowat described the scene with “crimson slush” snow and the carcasses of 23 caribou. Of those caribou, only three showed any trace of harvesting: their heads. Every single caribou was wasted, as no person or animal benefited from the caribou’s plentiful meat. This harvest of caribou was common for this time period, making the caribou a threatened species and eventually led to governmental
Since glyphosate kills nearly anything green, farmers have been forced to use Roundup as either a pre-emergence herbicide or a weed killer around the borders of their planting area to avoid killing their commercial crop (Sij and Stansel, 1997). Despite farmers’ inability to spray glyphosate directly on conventional crops, Roundup became “the best-selling weed-killer in the world” (Arax and Brokaw, 1997). In 1994, Roundup had net sales of approximately 1.2 billion dollars, comprising 17 percent of
Most people would argue that the transition from hunting and gathering of food to agricultural food production was the best innovation in human history. We are taught to believe that this innovation gave rise to civilization, allowed for more leisure time in which people could then focus on arts and allowed for a higher yielding, more consistent and reliable food source. Despite some of the innovations that sprang from agriculture, upon a closer look, we can see that with the advent of agriculture

Today, technology has allowed the mass production of food making agriculture advancements thanks to molecular genes. Genetically
Dandelions grow in our backyards every year, but all we see are small yellow weeds that take control of the grass and cause a nuisance. What many are unaware of is their actual uses and how helpful they were throughout history. Dandelion is grown in Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. It grows in many places such as in gardens, on mountains, and it is sometimes found in some health food markets, or as a freeze-dried herb. Part of the reason they grow in many places is because they
