Smoking causes respiratory problems, circulatory system difficulties, and urinary troubles strengthening the fact that smoking causes inexorable harms to the body. Although smoking may have the appearance of something that “is cool”, it causes several heath problems many of which incessant effects.
Contrary to what tobacco companies want people to believe, smoking does lead to hazardous heath.
Smoking especially causes harm to the respiratory system, affecting the lungs. The smoke leads directly into the lungs, exposing them to multiple pollutants. The pollutants cause damage to lungs, resulting in lack of breath. Smoking can also cause lung cancer, by impairing the lungs ability to function, as well as getting in the way of the cilia and bronchi, systems that help defend the lungs from disease. Lung cancer develops due to the destruction of cilia, hair-like structures that move mucus from the lungs, and bronchi, tube-like structures which carry inhaled air to lung tissues. Once the damage to the cilia and bronchi occur the lung can’t clean itself, because of this the toxic substances in the cigarette s remain contained in the lung. Due to this cancer continually develops.
In addition to causing damage to the respiratory system, smoking also causes damage to the circulatory system, in organs such as the heart and the arteries. Heart attacks occur more often in smokers than in nonsmokers. According to The American Council on Science and Health smoking kills more than 400,000 Americans every year. The effects of cigarette smoking occur when someone smokes like a chimney. Smoking affects blood pressure of a smoker instantaneously. Smoking cause short- term effects on blood pressure, but as time continues and a person smokes more and more, this short- term effect will gradually evolve into a lasting effect. Not only does cigarette smoke effect blood pressure, it also affects the arteries that pump blood to the heart. The affects on arteries cause heart disease.
As well as affecting the circulatory system, smoking also affects the urinary system, like the kidneys and bladder. Smoking increases the likelihood of developing bladder cancer and kidney cancer. Smoking causes the leading preventable disease in The United states, bladder cancer. Every year, “over 7,000 Americans die from bladder cancer”1 caused by smoking. Smoking causes toxins to flow in the bloodstream.
Smoking can cause many lung and heart diseases as well as many forms of cancer.
With smoking cigarettes, cancer can be developed through the lungs, mouth, nose, throat, larynx, trachea, esophagus, stomach, pancreas, kidneys, bladder, cervix, bone marrow, and blood. The most recent causes are lung cancer and cardiovascular disease/ respiratory disease which causes a stroke. These chemicals damage DNA which causes the cells to grow abnormally. It starts to affect the immune system which begins to kill the cells. The cells don’t function properly to maintain proper blood flow which in the end causes cancer. With higher heart rate and blood pressure, the platelets in the blood begin to stick together and form clots which causes amputation. Smoking cigarettes also causes diabetes and teeth/ gum disease. Smoking cigarettes causes eye problems and it affects vision. Smoking cigarettes affects infertility and impotence which causes pregnancy and newborn complications. It begins to affect the baby by becoming premature or having some sort of disease. Smoking cigarettes can change your entire physical
First, smoking can cause at least twelve different cancers, the deadliest of the twelve being lung cancer. The filthy habit of smoking cigarettes is the leading risk factor in not only developing this horrible disease, but eventually and inevitably dying from it. In addition to lung cancer one who smokes may also be diagnosed with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) or asthma. COPD and asthma both affect the lungs by making it hard to breath. While, asthma does not initially come from smoking it certainly makes having it worse. Having either COPD or asthma really depletes one’s everyday life by making a simple walk to
Smoking is not only had for the internal environment, it is also bad for the internal organs as well. Smoking can cause a number of diseases and reduce overall health in smokers (Center for Disease Control and Prevention). When an individual smokes, they increase their chances of getting cancer not only in the lungs, but other organs such as the bladder, mouth, stomach, liver, colon and rectum, to name a few (Center for Disease Control and Prevention). Smoking has also been known to cause leukemia. Every cigarette smoked affects breathing and causes scarring of the lungs (Be Tobacco Free). On the other hand, smoking increases a smoker’s chance of developing cardiovascular diseases due to smoking. They have a greater chance of developing hypertension (high blood pressure), strokes, heart attacks, aneurysms, etc. (American Heart Association). Chemicals in tobacco smoke harms blood cells and damages heart functions (Be Tobacco Free). On the contrary, a pregnant woman is at risk for harming not only herself, but her fetus before, during, and after birth (March of Dimes). When a woman smokes durin...
According to the Partnership for a Drug-Free America, it stated that the nicotine in smoking cigarettes can be very dangerous, damaging to the human body. It’s known that smoking can cause chronic lung disease, coronary heart disease and stroke. In addition, smoking also causes cancer of the lungs, larynx, esophagus, mouth, and bladder. Smoking tobacco products is also known to contribute to cancer of cervix, pancreas and kidneys. People that don’t smoke tobacco products can also be harmed by second hand smoke. Women who smoke while pregnant, put their baby at risk of have health problems.
Smoking can cause problems all over the body and in just about every body system. Cigarettes contain over six-hundred ingredients and can produce over seven-thousand chemicals when burned. Many of those chemicals are poisonous and sixty-nine of them can cause cancer. The main ingredient in cigarettes that causes the addiction is nicotine. Nicotine can make its way to the brain in mere seconds and make you feel energetic but after a while you will become tired and crave more. As you begin to smoke and more your lungs begin to lose its power of being able to filter harmful chemicals. This makes smokers more vulnerable to little infections such as a cold or even the flu. Some of the most obvious signs of smoker begin with the outside of the body. Smoking will soon produce wrinkles and premature aging and will cause other to be able to see the outcome of smoking against the younger generation of people. (Health
Did you know that in 2011 there were more than 6 million tobacco caused deaths worldwide (Henningfield)? Smoking is the act of inhaling and exhaling the fumes of burning plant material. Because there is nicotine in cigarettes, they are highly addictive. Cigarettes are one of the worlds most devastating causes of death and disease (Henningfield). There are many negative effects from secondhand smoking, both immediately and over time. Smoking also affects the environment indoors negatively. Also, when pregnant woman or parents of young children smoke, they could harm their children. People should not smoke with others around because they are exposed to harmful chemicals and they are not the one putting themselves in danger.
As most of you know, smoking is bad for your health, but what some of you might not know is that you don’t actually have to smoke to be harmed by smoking. Lung cancer, which is the leading cause of cancer deaths in men and women, is mainly caused by cigarette smoking. Secondhand smoking causes approximately 2 percent of lung cancer deaths each year. It causes respiratory disease, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), middle ear disease, and asthma attacks in children.
Cigarette advertisements give the feeling that smokers are "bursting at the seams with joy" and that smoking is useful to you. Shockingly, nothing could be further from reality. The U.S. government has marked cigarettes as an unsafe medication that causes lung malignancy, coronary illness, and numerous different genuine sicknesses and conditions. Numerous individuals everywhere throughout the nation are discussing whether tobacco organizations ought to be permitted to publicize cigarettes or even to make cigarettes in today 's general public ("Analyzing Assorted Tobacco Advertisements").
First, smoking can harm your body in many different ways. It can lead to diseases, skin infections, decayed teeth, and etc. Your heart and blood vessels can be damged over time from the powerful toxins of smoke being inhealed into your body. Studies reveal that smoking has far more damaging effects on women's health than mens. For women, the effects of smoking can lessen their life by 7 years. While men's lives are shortened by only 2-4 years. The toxins of smoke
Most people would think that cigarette smoking can cause many health issues and diseases after looking at the ingredients used, and they are right. Periodontitis, Peptic ulcers, Erectile dysfunction, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Cancer, and cardiovascular disease are just a few of the diseases that can be caused from smoking cigarettes. Smoking may also increase the chance of heart disease, stroke, atherosclerosis, and peripheral vascular disease. Tobacco has also been linked to Buerger 's disease, Oral disease and some infection throughout the body has also been caused by smoking
Cigarette smoking is a danger to our life and health. It is the leading known cause of lung cancer. Each year more than 30,000 people will die of lung cancer and 4 out of 5 of them will get it because of cigarette smoke.

Scientists and health officials have been arguing the detrimental effects smoking has on our health for many years. Smoking can lead to serious complications including asthma, pancreas, lung and stomach cancer due to the large number of carcinogens (cancer causing chemicals) and other various substances added to it. It is a health hazard for both smokers and non-smokers and it is especially harmful to unborn babies. Although smokers claim that it helps them to relax and release stress, the negative aspects of the habit take over the positive. As it has been stressed by the scientists and experts, there are some very severe reasons of smoking but its crucial consequences should also be taken into consideration.
Smoking harms nearly every organ in the body. Smoking is predicted to increase your risk of coronary heart disease, which is the leading cause of death in America right not, stroke, lung cancer, and actually dying from lung cancer. Yeah dying. Death is a risk that comes from smoking. Most people say ‘It’ll never happen to me’ or ‘I don’t smoke that much’, but the truth is it can happen to anyone that smokes tobacco.
