Gun control is one of the most controversial topics when talking about freedom and order. When people are for stricter gun control regulations they are choosing order over freedom, while those who do not want gun control laws are choosing freedom over order. The reason why the public is calling for stricter gun control laws is due to the recent, and reoccurring, school/public shootings that are catching the public attention and making them feel like there needs to be stricter gun regulations to reobtain order. But with stricter gun control regulations many believe order would be reestablished; however, those who oppose gun control believe that the only thing that would happened is that their rights would be infringed upon. Because of it being such a complicated topic, those who do not know much about the topic tend to lean towards whatever the people within their environment believe. However, the only way somebody could come to a conclusion on whether they should be for, or against, gun control is by looking at the issue of gun control and weighting the pros and cons, looking into the three political branches and different interest groups on gun control, and then ultimately coming up with their decision.
So when looking at gun control issues you need to understand what is occurring that is causing the political issues on gun control. During the year of 2015 there was 355 mass shouting not long after the month of December had begun (Brianna Gurciullo). So because of this horrifying year of filled with mass shooting it really got the people’s attention and because of this information it led to a natural response to try and reduce the gun population and inforce gun control regulations. The only thing that has come from some of this countries with strict gun control laws is that there seems to be a decrease in the number of deaths by firearms, but that was not the fully intended goal of gun control. Gun control matters have proven time after time that they are not effective in the necessary standards to make the countries safe. Without giving the people the necessary precautions to take care of themselves when being involved with firearms it will still lead to problems. However, with giving the public the proper education on guns and the proper way to use them it would make people more aware. Also by making people more aware about guns it would make it one less problem the government would have to deal with and manage to put an end to the continuous number of gun violence in America.

We have so many guns in this country and very few laws on who can own them.
