Gun Control Around The World Gun control is starting to become a huge topic around the world. With all of the mass shootings in the United States along with the crime rate towards the federal government, illegal animal killings in South America along with all the crime in Canada. The government is trying to lock down more on gun rights with preventing everyday citizens having access to guns that are military grade. I believe that if the governments start to step up and take control of who can get their hands on guns the crime rate can be reduced which will prevent random killings, crimes, and random use of guns. Adding a gun control law would be very beneficial towards the fact of making the world a safer place to live.
Just in the United States alone the amount of crime has increased over the past decade. From armed robberies, mass shootings, to police shootings. The United States government is trying to take away the second amendment where citizens have the right to bear arms. Ever since September elevenths terrorist attack the united states has had a fear of terrorism so everyone

Which is correct but without the access to the firearms they won’t be able to even have this problem. Of course all guns won’t be taken away and some people will still be able to buy guns illegally somehow, but if government officials are on top of the game and try their hardest to keep firearms off the streets in the wrong persons hand then the world will be a lot better place. Most people don’t use guns for violence, but without any access to a firearm it just prevents any shootings from happening. People will also say that the military and federal officials will be in complete control if we take away guns from citizens meaning they think they can terrorize us to do whatever they want us to do and we cant respond because we don’t have the same type of weapons that they
As long as there have been men and women on this planet there has been violence. This is an immutable fact. In all likelihood, there will always be violence within the human race. Robert Heinlein said, "Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history than has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Nations and peoples who forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and freedoms." Indeed this is plausible. The premise of these arguments is that giving a creature with a proven track record of violence a phenomenally powerful tool of destruction is less than wise. As an alternative, this paper proposes to limit access to such powerful devices (semi-automatic firearms) through the use of tracking methods, restricted sales, and heavier penalties for illegal possession of firearms. The firearms most specifically addressed are semi-automatic weapons including repeating rifles and handguns.
“A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” The right of all Americans to bear arms is a right the Founding Fathers held to equal importance as the Constitution itself. Gun control laws directly violate this right and therefore should not even be under consideration. Even if that issue is overlooked, gun control advocates state that in order to reduce firearm related violence, gun control laws must be implemented to remove the violence caused by firearms. Although this may seem reasonable, the consequences of such laws are ironically counterproductive; they exacerbate the problem instead of fixing it. Besides the fact that the American Constitution guarantees its citizens the right to bear arms, the idea of restricting gun ownership in order to reduce firearm-related violence would ultimately fail given the previous experiments of gun control in England and in numerous states.
...he gun debate in America, has many people talking about how dangerous guns could be. Trying to avoid people to buy guns or eliminate guns would not help because guns could be brought illegally. Background checks would only work if the government makes the law stricter but since is not yet strict, then things will still remain the same. Instead, of making more laws, the government should let people carry guns with them because the gun could be used for protection. There could have been a possibility that in the San Bernardino shooting, the 14 individuals who died in the attack, could have survived if those individuals had a gun. Who knows where and when a shooting could happen? No one knows but the one who will commit the crime. That is why having more guns could reduce individuals to get injured or die in a shooting. Which means that more guns will equal more safety.
Gun control is one of the most debatable topics today. Thirty-three million Americans own firearms for hunting (Aitkens 9). But hunting is not the sole reason for which many individuals buy firearms. Of all countries, the United States is the one which is troubled most by a large number of criminals who are in possession of guns. The U.S. has the highest firearm murder rate of any democracy in the world (Aitkens 5). Where is the country going wrong as far as gun control is concerned? An immense number of laws have been created by the legislature. All were made in order to be sure guns remain in control of the right hands, yet the problems seem to prevail. All three branches of government (judicial, legislative, and executive) are involved in desperate attempts to improve the situation. Getting rid of guns would not work; it would be an impossible task. But, if pressure was applied to all aspects of gun employment - production, ownership, and most importantly dealership - a majority of problems could be controlled.
The U.S. Congress is still debating the effectiveness of federal regulation of guns and ammunition. All sorts of federal laws have been made since 1934 to promote the regulation of firearms. Many people have different views on the topic of gun control. I, for one, am pro “gun-rights” and believe that there are many disadvantages to the controlling of guns.
Some people believe that taking away guns will reduce or even wipe out the number of attacks or killings. The truth though is that nothing will stop the worlds problems. Even if we take away the guns in the world people are still going to be filled with hate and murder. In fact, if we bans guns in the U.S., how will people defend themselves against a robbery or some other heinous act. The answer is that it wont help. Even if guns are banned what's to that people won't but the guns illegally. In this world people will always find a way to get what they want even if that way is illegal.
George Washington once said, “Firearms stand next in importance to the constitution itself. They are the American people 's liberty teeth and keystone under independence …”. In the United States, Gun violence has become a reoccurring issue impacting the nation immensely. As we look into the past ten years, school shooting and public shootings have played out in the media stirring up a debate on gun violence. Because of these ongoing evil attacks, firearms are seen as the killer rather than the person who is firing the gun. Many are fighting for gun rights by using the points of the Second Amendment, the government’s control, and stricter gun laws.
A family is sitting together on the couch watching their favorite TV show. Suddenly, the father turns to the news channel. A shooting at a local bank has killed fifteen people so far. Many are still being held hostage. Gun control should be more regulated because people abuse the privilege, everyone would be safer, and violence would decrease.
Will gun control stop harm or protect citizens? Today, the opinions of Americans vary on whether guns harm or protect citizens. However, gun control is not a new controversial issue. In 1924, U.S. Senator, Robert La Follete, said, “Our choice is not merely to support or oppose gun control but to decide who can own which guns under what conditions.” This proves that gun control has been a concern to Americans since the mid- twentieth century, and possibly even earlier than that. Even with the U.S. laws limiting the access of guns, it has not stopped the misuse of guns. Thirteen school shootings have been recorded in the United States within the first six weeks of 2014. Gun control is an effort to stop crimes by limiting who can access guns. Guns are very powerful weapons that have a great impact on society. They can change a family’s life forever. The destruction they cause cannot be reversed or taken back, and one trigger could take a person’s life away. For these reasons, government interference is needed to restrict the harm guns can cause. The U.S. government should place more limitations on guns because of the carelessness and misuse of guns, which has led to an increasing number of crimes and violent actions against the innocent.
The bloodshed has shocked the US, leading President Barack Obama to call for calm. At least 64 law enforcement officers had been shot and killed this year, the most in five years. The shooters in the incidents did not have permits that they needed to be carrying the gun they had. Only thirty-one states allow the open carrying of a handgun without any license or permit. Do we really want anyone without a permit to carry a handgun in our states? Then going around shooting law enforcement and innocent people. Concealed weapon holders need to have a permit to carry a weapon because it will help saves lives, take the bad people off the street, and lower crime rates.
Gun violence is America’s deadliest killer. From school shootings to mass shootings; they all end in death and destruction. The solution to this problem is one that is very controversial. Stricter gun laws. There needs to be stricter gun laws in order to stop irresponsible, murderous people from buying something dangerous. Tougher gun laws also aids in keeping the American people safe. But, trying to convince the entirety of America that tougher gun laws are necessary is nearly impossible. This should be taken at one state at a time. Starting with Michigan.
In the past few months there have been so many tragedies due to the access people have to guns. It is a scary thought that nothing is stopping a person taking a handgun from a club and using it however they feel like it. Most massacres are committed by people with no criminal record or no known history of mental illness. This means that no one can predict who will be the next crazy killer to go on a rampage, therefor we need to be strict on weapon use and who can actually take or own one of their own. So if handguns or any gun in general weren’t that accessible and so easy to get a hold of, most of this senseless violence would not occur. Many people can agree that if the proper laws are fully enforced we would have fewer criminals and much less death. For countries all around, it is very sad when any kid at a young age can get access to a dangerous firearm it’s just senseless. Readers can also agree that banning guns will not stop all violence as some people will go to a huge lengths to still get that one weapon, but people can be assured that it will have a dramatic decrease in the deaths and violence in any country around the
Gun control is a very hot topic in politics today. Some people think gun control is necessary to protect the people but nothing could be further from the truth. Gun control needs to be more relaxed if we are to prevent crime from happening at all. If more people are enabled to legally carry guns than more crimes will to stopped before they even happen, creating a better and safer society. No matter how much gun control legislation is passed criminals will still find a way to get ahold of weapons so it is necessary to ensure the American people are armed to fight such people. The truth is that we live in a world which needs guns to protect people. That is why police officers carry weapons and that is why civilians should carry guns themselves.
First time in 2014 more teens have died by guns than car crashes or accidents. This was the first time this has happened. Car crashes was always the number one cause of teen death. So should we have a higher or bigger gun control on the gun rights? Yes, we should have better gun control policy because it can keep people safe, it can prevent mass shootings, and last but not least it can help us catch the criminals or lead us to them.
“As the French terrorist attacks proved, gun control doesn't work. Worse civilian disarmament leaves innocent people defenseless against killers.”,(Robert Farago). As other countries have shown, gun control is not the way to help the issue. Their will always be a way to find weapons illegally, if someone has plans to kill, what's the problem with breaking any other of the laws to do so. Also adding more restrictions will make it harder for innocent people to get weapons to protect themselves when the people who have the guns cannot protect
