Many great drivers have risen and fallen in the history of Formula 1. One driver is know to every motorsport fan in the world. His name was Ayrton Senna. The World Champion of 1988, 1990 and 1991, Brazilian Ayrton Senna proved himself as one of the greatest drivers and sportsman until his death at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola.
Everyone's heard it. “He was the best driver that ever lived”. “Sennas the best”, “The best F1 driver ever”. Nobody ever question Ayrton Sennas skill with a Formula 1 car. Ayrton Senna was born on March 21st, 1960 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His father was a businessman and ran his own car firm. Not a lot is known about Ayrtons childhood, but one thing is known, his racing career began when his father gave him a go kart on his fourth birthday. He practiced for 4 years before he could legally compete in karting competitions. And when he did, it was quite a sight. He won first time out, and would go on to win the Sao Paulo Championship, followed by the National Championship. He would win the National Championship several times, and won five the South American Championships five times in a row. During this time he also competed in several European events including the World Championship and although he never won it, he impressed many people. He certainly stood out from the crowd, he raced in black pants, a white shirt and a bright yellow helmet with a blue and a green stripe, which represented the Brazilian Flag.
In 1981, when he was 21, he started to compete in Formula Ford 1600. He won the championship on his first run. He then moved up to Formula Ford 2000 and won it and eventually won both European and British titles in 1982 and in 1983 won the British Formula 3 title. Senna's first F1 car dr...

...'s death. Now its all about skill. Formula 1 was always the worlds greatest sport. People don't realize how much physical and mental effort a driver must have during a race because everything could be at stake during that one last race, “And nobody shall ever forget what that one last race cost the world”-Mika Hakkinen
“If I ever happen to have an accident that eventually costs me my life, I hope it is in one go. I would not like to be in a wheelchair. I would not like to be in a hospital suffering from whatever injury it was. If I’m going to live, I want to live fully, very intensely, because I am an intense person. It would ruin my life if I had to live partially, because that would mean that I could never race again and to never race again, well its as if I had no point to live on this world”

I believe that Dale Earnhardt was the greatest stock car driver there was and ever will be. He was down to earth and didn't let money or fame stop him from connecting with his fans. Dale has done many great things with his life, and also great things with the community and the people that followed him thought his racing career. Dale was a role model to many and other drivers looked up, and respected him.

The son of a French European Commission official, Bertrand Gachot was born in Luxembourg. He started racing karts at the age of 15. He decided to drop out of university in 1984 to race Formula Ford 1600 and did well, finishing third in the Formula Ford Festival at the end of the year. Another significant person was NASCARs first commissioner, Erwin “Cannonball” Baker. Baker was famous for motorcycle racing. At the Indianapolis 500 speedway he placed first in 1908 and eleventh in 1922. In 1914, he drove his motorcycle for eleven and one-half days cross country for 3,379 miles and “he combated thirst, desert heat, numerous flat tires, bad weather, irregular terrain and wild dogs…” (King) During his lifetime, Baker rode in more than 14 cross country races and over 5,500,000 miles. (King) Robert Barkhimer, who was known as “Barky,” was the person who bought NASCAR to the West. Barky was the Bay Cities Racing Association Midget Champion. In 1949, he began promoting more than 20 stock car races in the West. In the early 1950s, he met Bil...
“Racing is about discipline and intelligence, not about who has the heavier foot. The one who drives smart will always win in the end.”
It takes a great deal of skill to race in the rain, and Denny manages his way through the track as if there is no rain at all. Enzo is set up in front of the TV, and Denny plays one of his racing tapes. As they watch, Enzo is entranced by Denny’s smooth maneuvering. He also describes Denny as good as Ayrton Senna, a World Champion racer. Enzo describes Denny’s race:
He believes that life is made for living and that you shouldn’t waste your life away and you have to live life to its fullest because you never know what could happen. He like to install the spirit of adventure in life because what’s life without having some adventure in your life or even just some fun. “Forever and forever when I move. How dull it is to pause, to make an end, to rust unburnished, not to shine in use! As though to breathe were life. Life piled on life were all too little, and of one to me little remains; but every hour is saved from that eternal silence, something more, a bringer of new things; and vile it were for some three suns to store and hoard myself, and this gray spirit yearning in desire to follow knowledge like a sinking star, beyond the utmost bound of human thought. To continue, Louis, a person who accomplished a lot of important things. One of them was that he was named to the ‘International Motorsports Hall of Fame in 1992. Besides in 1905, Chevrolet became a motor racing legend. Furthermore the president of GM, hired Chevrolet away from Fiat in March 1907 for his Buick racing team between many more events. An event that change Louis life was that he crashed, this might make him feel worried for not knowing if he was going to be alright. NASCAR is a multibillion dollar family owned and operated sports industry. It was founded by Bill France, Sr. in 1947-48. From 1947-48 NASCAR has changed and developed throughout the years. Having a career as a NASCAR driver and racing competitively can be the best thing for a person who loves to drive fast.7 Of course, to become a driver for the National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing, you would have to start from the bottom and work your way up to professional racing. 1 NASCAR is my favorite professional sport. 1 I want to become a NASCAR driver because I love the sport and everything about it.
"I didn’t see much of what happened up there (in the fourth turn). After the race was over, I heard things didn’t look very good but, man, Earnhardt. You figure he’ll bounce right back," said Jeremy Mayfield, driver of the No. 12 Penske Ford. Your first thought is, hey, he’ll probably come back next week at Rockingham and beat us all.
When someone goes to a race track what they really want to see is the wrecks. They want to see a car flipping over or even catch on fire. Even though it might look awesome from the outside of the car, inside the car it's extremely dangerous. The community of auto racing is working altogether to create new innovations to make racing as safe as it can possibly be. Auto racing is becoming a safer sport with all of the new innovations introduced in the past couple of years including the caught fence, safety barrier, and Han's device.
