Charlie chaplin like many immigrants from great Britain moved to America for a chance to benefit from the boom that was going on in America in the 20th century. As being a child from two performers he found his calling in theetre and film.Without speaking a word his movies broke barriers in a very separated time in the us and all over the world . ,characters like the tramp became an instant classic . but His most controversial movie till date is the great dictator.When the great dictator was scheduled for released most americans where isolationist beacusae of the financial,human acost.Anytype of interventionist form of media was almost forbidden by the people,churches and a small part of Hollywood .An organistion was created to limit and control any political propaganda from Hollywood called the PCA and they defined “propaganda is the expressionof opinioons or actions carried out deliberately by individuals or groups with a view to influencing the opinions or actions of other individuals or groups fro predetermined ends through phsychological manipulation”

The great dictator tried to escape being labeled as propaganda but chaplin failed miserably ,although he to escape the grisp of pca by using comedy to sugar coat the propaganda. ridiciuled the Nzai army throught the action of a character named hynkle ,which has similar resemblance to hitler,which downplayed the strength of army and humanize this great dictator called .the emotional response is the boosting of morale for the US and its ally and a sense of safetyand confidence in the homefront . .The final speech was raw propaganda ,but out of sheer genius chaplin gave the speech from a neautral angle by abandoning his hynkel character ,which automatically drws the a...

Propaganda could not be concealed when it came to the final speech Chaplin gave at the end of the movie.Although Charlie chaplin tries to avoid propaganda by “asking for universal peace rather than a specific course of action”. But chaplin failed miserably because he came out of his charater to convince a group of people to rise up against didtators.The only known dictators were Hynkel And Benzino .”by the promise of these things brutes have risen to power..dictaoyors free themselves but enslave the people “.
