One of the main topics that we covered in these past two weeks are the Big Five. All of our scores had varied throughout the class and we were able to notice that there are more extraverts than introverts and that most people also scored pretty high in agreeableness. My scores for each of the Big Five factors were all mostly high except openness was relatively low, compared to the class. My score for extraversion was 32 on a scale that reached up to 40. This explains that I am pretty outgoing and energetic. I can agree with this because I am quick to get along with and very sociable. In the area of agreeableness, I scored a 32 on a 45 point scale. Overall, those results were on the higher half which means that I can sometimes be seen as naive or submissive. Depending on the situation and also compared to some people around me, I have the ability to come off as naive about certain things. My highest category was conscientiousness, which was a 34 out of a possible 45. It is said that I am perceived as stubborn and obsessive. Once again, depending on the situation, I can be very stubbo...

College or Univeristy Graduation Speech

- I’ve spent weeks trying to think of what it is I’d like to share with you on this special morning… what words of wisdom I could possibly impart, what bits of knowledge I have obtained during these past five years that I could share. And after careful deliberation and consideration, I came to the conclusion that I have absolutely nothing to say. I’ve asked several people, "So, like, if you were listening to a speech, and, like, you wanted to enjoy it… what would you want to hear?" And these several people all had the same reply, "Don’t be boring." So, that was a really big help....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech Is Helpful For High School Students

- All through our academic years we were taught how to write. Starting with elementary, when the form of writing was first introduced, it consisted of compositions with simple prompts about our weekends. Now, that there was an idea of how to write, middle school English teachers began teaching students a writing format. This format is commonly known as the five-paragraph essay, which entailed an introduction, three supporting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The five-paragraph essay began being strongly implemented in high school and it leads to many debates whether or not it benefited students proceeding into college....   [tags: Writing, High school, Five paragraph essay, Essay]

Graduation Speech: Many Chapters Yet to Write

- The fairy tales that forever touch the strings of the human heart have one thing in common: a happy ending. For dramatic effect, the speech you are about to hear begins with one. When we dare to venture into the past to find inspiration for the future, we are inevitably bound to face the moments we’d much sooner forget. Our repeated experience has shown that we are more inclined to find profundity in our seconds of misery and suffering than in years and years of commonplace encounters. It is with that fact in mind that I ask you to imagine this very room, and this very ceremony as it stood exactly five years ago today –Sunday, June 11, 1995....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech: Genius

- Good evening class of 2013 and all of our proud supporters. I come before you tonight with bittersweet feelings about this event. On the one hand we are celebrating a momentous achievement and a symbol of our movement into a new phase of life. On the other hand, we have to spend more than five hours in this arena full of memories of the past four song contests. I’m sure we can all agree that of the entire class, probably the only one with really fond memories of this place is wrestling state champion Jamin Meletia....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech

- Good evening parents, teachers, honored guests and soon to be graduates. My name is Ed Burrower, I'm the senior class president. A few weeks ago, I was told that I would be speaking at graduation. I was asked to put together a speech for tonight -- I've become experienced at speech writing over the past couple of weeks. The speech that you are hearing is the fourth one I've written, the recycle bin needs to be emptied at home and I need a new highlighter. Thank you, Mr. Mier, you get an "A+" for your help as my speech teacher but an "F" for saving trees....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

College or University Graduation Speech

- Hello, good morning and welcome to graduation for the class of 2012. I have waited to hear those words for 5 years - and by the looks on all of my fellow graduates faces, I am not alone. Think with me for a minute about the process we have gone through which has gathered us here today. Our stories of these past years are not much different. Whether you went to a community college, transferred here from another four-year school or started your freshman year in the dorms near the entrance of this campus, we are finally finishing together....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech: The Beginning of Your Life

- Parents, teachers, families and friends, welcome and thank you for joining us tonight at the County High School graduation ceremony for the Class of 2012. Graduation is a time to look fondly upon memories which have been made over the past three years. I am sure all of us have our own memories which we hold close to our hearts and make us grin when we think of them. Events which become very vivid in my mind are football and basketball games, dances, pep assemblies, at least the ones from our sophomore and junior years, and especially time spent with a group of friends just doing whatever....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech

- Writing this commencement speech for you tonight was hands-down one of the most stressful things I have ever done. For days, I toiled over what to speak about, worried that as you sat there anxious to graduate I would bore you, or say the wrong thing. I tried to write a witty and funny speech designed to entertain you, but a lack of ability ultimately forced me to give up. This speech is the culmination of hours of brainstorming, three rejected rough drafts, editing galore, and finally me just putting my heart and soul on paper....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech

- Edgar Allan Poe once said, "All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream." The 13 years that I have spent attending school have quickly passed through my life as if a dream, much as I imagine it did Edgar Allan Poe. I can still remember my first day of school in Vietnam when I was five years old. Timid and scared, I held my mother's hand tightly, frightened that if I let go, I would lose her forever. My mother looked at me and said gently in Vietnamese: "Su hoc nhu thuyen tren dong nuoc nguoc....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech

- I'd like to start by thanking a few of the teachers who have made the greatest impression on me throughout my education here in Jones. Over the years, I have come to realize that the district's greatest asset is its teachers. I have been thoroughly impressed with the energy and dedication of every teacher I have had, and for this I would like to say, "Thank You." I regret that I can't take the time to speak in detail about all of them, but I would like to say a few things about some of the teachers who have made the biggest impact on me....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]
