My Proudest Moment
Ever since I was little I’ve been what you would call a “high achieving” kid. I did well in school, I did well in sports and I did well in my community. I was always the first one to class, and the last one to leave the field. I was the kid that all my friends’ parents compared their children to. I was the kid with a room full of trophies and awards. In my mind, the worst possible thing I could do was disappoint the people around me. In elementary school I was involved in every club imaginable. I was in the band, I played in the orchestra, I sang solos for chorus, I was in the math club, I was president of student council, I played travel soccer, I was involved in every activity possible, and I excelled in all of them. This trend of involvement didn’t stop in elementary school. In middle school I added more activities and sports to my repertoire and then piled on all the honors classes. As always, my teachers and coaches loved me, and my parents supported me. I loved being the child everyone talked about. I loved to succeed and I loved to make people proud.

Graduation Speech - Original Writing

- The day I have been waiting, for so long, yes. It’s finally here. Thursday morning is here, and I am finally ending my years in high school. I got up, got dress and now I am at the hair salon, getting ready for the big day, the day we all hope for. After checking my phone, I just realize I am about to be late, Abdul who’s my boyfriend is calling and rushing, telling me to hurry up. As soon as he arrived we went to my friend’s house Esmenia, and he went home to also get ready. I took a shower at her house and got ready, but graduation is at four O clock and it 's already three-thirty with a lot of traffic....   [tags: Family, Mother, Father, A Good Thing]

Graduation Speech : My College

- Graduating in December 2015 with my bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology-Administrative Communication was one of the proudest moments in my life. I felt very accomplished because I was the first person in my family to attend college and graduate with a degree. Obtaining my degree was very challenging for me. I was 17 years old when I left my grandparent’s home for the first time to attend Jackson State University. It was the first time that I had experienced life by myself. I did very well my first semester at Jackson State, but I was very homesick and wanted to come home....   [tags: Academic degree, Bachelor's degree, Doctorate]

Graduation Speech : A Speech

- Graduation is not as glamorous as everyone thinks. Sitting in the bleachers for four hours in the scalding heat with your nicest clothes on is not fun (at least for me). I would’ve had no problem skipping my graduation, except for one part. There is one segment of graduation that makes the whole thing bearable, the speech. The graduation speech plays a pivotal role in making or breaking graduation ceremony. These speeches not only serve to inspire the public, but also shapes the values of the academic community....   [tags: Commencement speech, Graduation, Want]

Graduation Speech

- For some of you graduates, this will be the last ceremony you might ever sit through. Most of us, though, and I regret that I am in this group, will sit through many more ceremonies -- ceremonies longer and more tedious that this or anything else you can imagine. If you think this is bad, try a college graduation. Think, that is, attend a wedding. And, if just for a moment you think that that is bad, just be thankful you have never attended or will attend a Bar Mitzvah. The only ceremony I think anybody would truly enjoy attending is a funeral....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- To the County High School Class of 2012: As you sit in front of me, I know what most of you are thinking at the moment. There are those who are already pondering about what life without high school will be like; those who are debating whether or not to tell your crush tonight about your whispers of adoration you’ve secretly held for four years; some simply want to get out of that ungodly chair, get that thing that isn’t really a diploma but only tells you when to pick up the thing, and then be the first one on the green bus to the grad party — you know who you are....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- Good evening parents, teachers, honored guests and soon to be graduates. My name is Ed Burrower, I'm the senior class president. A few weeks ago, I was told that I would be speaking at graduation. I was asked to put together a speech for tonight -- I've become experienced at speech writing over the past couple of weeks. The speech that you are hearing is the fourth one I've written, the recycle bin needs to be emptied at home and I need a new highlighter. Thank you, Mr. Mier, you get an "A+" for your help as my speech teacher but an "F" for saving trees....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- It is probably a mistake that I am standing here giving a speech for graduation. In fact it is probably a mistake that I am even graduating from this school at all -- believe me, just as most people in this class I have tested the limits of attendance, of sleeplessness, and of procrastination. At the beginning of my high schooling, I was even testing dropping out ... and if that wasn't a mistake, I don't know what was. After four years of Starr altering our minds, it seemed most fitting for me to spend my four minutes talking about mistakes....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

Graduation Speech

- Students, faculty, family, friends, on this exciting day, I speak to optimism, laughter, and grins. As I was gathering input for this graduation speech, several people suggested including a profound quote offering “encouraging advice to the young graduates”, and then there were others who said, “eh don’t worry about it, no one listens to those anyway.” Fortunately, I was actually able to take from both suggestions and found a happy balance. You see, I won’t tell you today to: “Dare to dream” or “Find your own vision” or even to “Strive for excellence,” or any trite cliché that’s ever been said in a graduation speech....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- (Love you mom and dad in Romanian) A lot of people here today probably didn't understand what I just said because I am Romanian, but if you take a look at my parents face they know I love them. I am Romanian and my parents came to the U.S. and could have chosen any state but they chose Washington. For all the people who don't appreciate Washington as much as me let me lay down some vibes. After I went to Arizona and California and some other states I came to realize that everything here is so much greener....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]

- "Some people come into our lives and quietly go. Some stay for a while And leave footprints on our hearts And we are never the same again." As I prepared this speech, this quote came to mind as I realized how many of you have left footprints on my heart over the past four years. I have may wonderful memories that I will cherish forever. I remember embarrassing moments when a teacher misunderstood what I said, and then my classmates teased me mercilessly. I remember a time in math class when a student fell asleep and was tied to his chair and chalk dust was thrown all over him....   [tags: Graduation Speech, Commencement Address]
