High School Experience
I had more than one high school experience. I went to three different high schools. However, I was born in Puerto Rico were high school stars on tenth grade not in ninth grade, ninth grade is the last year of middle school. So technically I went to four different high schools. My ninth grade school was called Josefina Ferrero. It was a small, public school located in a suburban, middle class neighborhood. I started my tenth grade in Vocational Ana Delia Flores also in Puerto Rico. This schools was big it had two floors and even though it was a public school it had a lot of people from different social classes, different districts and it was located in a urban neighborhood. There were so many people to meet, the only people I met were the girls of my workshop because I went to this school for just six months. I loved this school because they gived the option of eating in the school cafeteria or going out of the school during lunch, and that give us the opportunity to buy lunch. There were a lot of places near the school were we could go and buy lunch, there was a burger king, a KFC, a Chinese restaurant and a pizza restaurant. This school had twenty three workshops, the one I choose was assistant of medical offices. The first class I had was assistant of medical offices for two hours and then my academic classes. That was the first school I went here in the United States. The first day of school I wasn’t only nervous I was so confused. Everything was so different the climate, the people, the schedule, everything. The first day was terrible the only thing that made me a little exited was that for the first time I was going to have a locker, because the previous schools I went to din’t have lockers. The first day I looked at the schedule every minute and before entering the class room I would see the number of the classroom like a hundred times to sure I wasn’t going to go into the wrong room. I remember that when it was lunch time I went to the cafeteria and made the line to take the food, I took it and I went straight to the table and when I finished eating I went to the bathroom because I was alone and dint have nothing to do or a phone or something to distract myself. When I got out of the bathroom I saw people going in class rooms so I tough OMG I am late for my next class, because in my old school everybody had lunch at the same time so hurry up and when I enter to the class room the teacher just looked at me and I dint know what to do so I give him my schedule and he told me that I dint have that class until the other periods that I was still in lunch.
