Learning about society has been a lifelong commitment that I have been keen on since I was a child. Growing up in the inner city of Dayton, Ohio has helped me to see that there is something wrong within society. I have numerous ideas, which I am determined to cultivate, in relation to social work with children and families. But, most importantly, I have a strong desire to help people that deserve my compassion, respect and attention, and be appreciated within society as human beings. I strongly believe that my decision in pursuing further studies at Ohio State will be beneficial for further understanding and practicing the core competences as it relates to social work. With the long rich tradition of social work at OSU, dating back to 1875, I would like to play an active role in the mission of the social work department. Therefore, I will be highly obliged if you kindly consider my application so that I get an opportunity to study in one of the best universities.
